Chidinma a slim girl with a height every model would dream of, a smile which could captivate any heart and an eyes with indescribable light walked aimlessly to the lecture hall.

Ha! Law a very stressful course indeed. If Chidinma thought it could be getting any better, there was always something to come up. Now of all the courses in this legal department commercial law was the least Chidinma needed now. As boring as it was, the lecturer was no good. That hell of a course brought glooming thoughts to Chidinma.

The hall today was more full than it used to be. Chidinma could swear it's because it was the beginning of the first semester. Settling herself on one of the benches at the very far end of the hall where she could get her peace and quiet.

At Least that's what she thought. Today was different because, it was today those crazy boys decided to occupy the corner space. Squeezing herself into the corner as far away from the bad boys as ever. She could hardly breath now.... no space, unpurified air and the smell of annoying boys all around her.

Tony the most charming and the most annoying of the boys was on the goal to pester Chidinma. He moved towards Chidinma causing her to back away two spaces at a time. Again his movement took place causing dear poor Chidinma to back away until her back hit solid.

Argh! The wall was like icicle very cold, it was certainly because of the harmattan. What brought about this today? And where was the bloody lecturer? Chidinma was hundred percent not ready for what stupid Tony had in mind. After All Tony never spoke to her considering she wasn't as classy  as the other girls. Maybe today she would see class actually didn't matter to Tony at all or perhaps she was wrong.

"Chidinma." Tony said, staring at her and displaying his most rakish grin.

Chidimma couldn't  tell what she felt at the sound of her name rolling of his lips. She just stayed there  mute staring at him.

"Well hello. Seems like you can't  actually roll of some speech babe?" Tony added.

Babe?  Was that what he just said? Sweeping the thought away since she was certain in this part of the country,  the  boys actually referred  to the girls as babes. But as normal as it should seem, no one excluding Christiana her late friend had ever called her babe. Therefore, Tony in all odd mindset was up to something. Plus, his actual stress on the word babe was terrifying.

"Chidimma....could you not act crazy for just some seconds?" Tony had asked.

Frowning at his reference to her as crazy, she stared up staring daggers at him. But still unable to breath out a word.

"Well your silence is getting the attention of the whole hall. Look Chi, I know you are definitely Shy to utter a word but it's fine!.you can however, butt up and give  me a reply..... and this little conversation  of ours wouldn't be really off balance."

"Excuse me, why don't you look for something better to do Tony? Chidimma managed to muster.

Oh my! Where was the lecturer? Chidinma hissed. Here she was thinking  law was for people with accurate thinking capacity. Tony for sure did not have an accurate thinking capacity. If only this lecturer could step in right now perhaps, her problem could be slightly reduced. Yeah..... a decent idea just struck her.

"If you would excuse me, I would like to take my leave....actually to get another seat." She said making to rise to her feet.

"Of course Barr Chi you are excused." Tony stated glee rising to his pupil.

Oh oh! Wrong idea Chi. Based on how tight the seat was, it was totally the wrong thing for Chidimma to do.  Immediately reality  struck Chidinma.

If she made her leave now that Tony and his friends occupied the entrance, she would be bringing attention to her fat derrier. Curse this wicked fat behind. That should do......She took her seat once more. .....

"What? Ain't you getting out?" Tony had asked.

"Nope thank you." She stated matter of factly.

"Anyway sweetheart since you ain't getting out, back to our discussion don't you think?" He inclined.

"I wasn't in a discussion with you Tony if I can recall."

"But of course.....last word I heard from you was you asking if I don't have anything important to do. Well I don't." He stated, that same rakish grin appearing.

"Then keep quiet and mind your business Tony!" She fired.

"Not when you are sitting close to me." He fired back.

"Please Tony knowing how full of yourself you are, we both know your statements mainly contain the 'I's' and never the 'yo........" Chidimma was cut short of her word.

"Babe before you go on blabbing crazy, just wanted to tell you...... you have a stain on your shirt." Tony finally said making his leave to his normal seat.

So she couldn't  hold it any more. Could her day get any worse?

"___ lecturer  can't make it. He has an urgent health issue.... sorry for the inconvenience___"

She had heard the course rep announce. Seating still on her seat, she saw Tony and his friends pass by throwing her a rueful wink.

A girl Chidimma knew as Sophia  a classic chick brought herself beside her  smiling.

"Hey darling what's up?" Sophia asked Chidimma.

"I think I kinda have a stain on my shirt." Knowing how nice Sophia was, she found it easy to confide in her.

"Shit. Let me take a look if it's that bad." She said motioning for Chidimma to turn facing her.

"Who told you that? Never mind darling you are eighty  percent clean of any stain. It's actually not noticeable " Sophia said.
