In the Lumpy Pumpkin;
"I think he likes you" said Karane. "Stop it" said Zelda. "What? Come on, you guys are PERFECT for each other!! When are you going to tell him?" Karane moaned. "I don't know! You think I, should?" "YES! I know Link likes you." "How?" "I can just tell." "Well when should I tell him?" "Whenever you feel the time is right, Zelda" "So then, never." Karane gave Zelda that 'are you serious' face "Just, don't tell him in front of Groose." She said, Zelda just laid her head on the table and sighed.

On the surface;
"Hmmmm... Logs! I need logs." Said Link. He scrambled around and put anything sturdy enough in a pile next to a frame structure. "I'm gonna have to buy glass from the bazaar, if they have any..." He said to himself as he continued his quest for the logs. He was finally pleased with his pile of logs after what felt like hours of searching. He looked up at the sun and realized it was nearly sunset, so he hurried up to Skyloft.

When Link arrived at Skyloft, he found Zelda calling for her Mia, her remlit, a cat like animal with big ears to fly, she grunted out of frustration. She turned around and saw Link. "Hey, where have you been? I came back and you weren't anywhere." "Oh, yeah, I was... playing Dodoh's High Dive." "That game with the rings again? Why are you so addicted to that game, you only ever loose rupees."
"Yeah." He agreed and rubbed the back of his head nervously.
Pheeeew, that was a close one.
Link thought.

"Well, since you're here, can you help me find Mia?"Zelda asked.
"Sure, where have you checked?" "Everywhere. You didn't see her while you were playing?" "No." (Because he wasn't even playing at all.) "Wait." Link paused and then ran towards the Knight Academy. "What?!" Zelda asked running after him. "What do you see?" He stopped. "AHA! Knew it!" Link pointed to the roof of the academy. "Up there." Link said. Zelda gasped with joy. "Mia! Down here!" Mia didn't listen so Zelda decided to go on the roof and get Mia herself. "Zel, what are you doing?" Link asked. "What do you think? I'm getting her myself!" She said jumping on the roof and ready to climb across to the higher rooftop.

"Be careful!" Link yelled. He never wanted anything bad to ever happen to her again. Link was suddenly flooded again by memories of his and Zelda's quest. He remembered again Demise and Ghirahim, that weird freak with the tongue. He still wasn't fully certain of his gender, or, did Ghirahim even have one. All of these memories made Link shudder, so he decided to push them aside. "LINK!!" Zelda shouted. He snapped away from his train of thought. "Did you hear me?! I got her!!" Zelda shouted and held Mia up above her head. Link couldn't help but smile and chuckled. Zelda carefully made her way down with Mia.

Once Zelda took Mia home, she and Link sat down by their favorite tree. "So did you even make one rupee?" Zelda asked. "Hmmm?" Link was confused. "When you played Dodoh's High Dive, you were there all day, right?" Zelda questioned. She felt he wasn't fully telling the truth. "Uh," Link knew she suspected something and felt uneasy, but tried not to act as though he was because it would be a dead give away. "No, I only have like, 5 rupees left." He smiled his dorky, innocent smile and Zelda couldn't help but smile back. "So, how was Karane?" Link asked. Zelda suddenly remembered their whole conversation and turned red. "What's wrong?" Link saw her face turn even more red after he asked. "Zel?"
