Link and Ghirahim started off to Lanyru Desert. "Why do you want to come with me?" Link asked as they ran through the quicksand. "I have my reasons." "You do realize that when the time comes, you're going to have to be destroyed, so what do you plan on doing?" "I just need to take care of some... unfinished business." Ghirahim said. Link knew Ghirahim was planning something, so Link was always ready to pull out his sword in case he did anything. There were tons of enemies in the desert, but Ghirahim just stood there and never helped Link defeat one enemy.

"You know," Link started as he slashed away at hordes of bokoblins, "you could at least help a little!" Link continued to slay the enemies. "I said I'd come along, I never said I'd help."

They continued to move along to the Lanayru Mining Facility. It was blocked by a giant boulder.
"Are you sure the second fragment is here?" Link asked Ghirahim. "Positive. Why would I lie?" "Well how do we get inside with that boulder in the way?" Link looked at Ghirahim. "What do you expect me to do? I said I wasn't here to help. Anyways, there isn't anything I could do."

Link remembered the robots that lived in the past and the timeshift stones. He went to one timeshift stone and activated it in hopes of reawakening any robots willing to help. Link knew this would take some time, because these robots were stubborn and didn't really like helping him. He activated multiple timeshift stones, but no robots were willing to help. This went on for hours and Ghirahim just decided to stay at the boulder. Link finally met a robot that was of some help. "Hey, do you think you could help me move a boulder?" Link asked. "You want me to move a boulder? Sorry I'm too busy, but there is one robot that might be willing to help. He's just south of here." The robot responded. "Okay, thanks!" Link replied. Link headed south and activated the nearest timeshift stone. He found a few robots and asked one of them, hoping to come across the one that would help him.

"Would you mind helping me move a boulder?" Link asked one of the robots. "Can't you see I'm busy? If you want help, ask the robot in the cave over there, but I don't think he's going to be much help." The robot pointed to a cave a few feet away. Link went inside the cave and found a robot. "Uh, excuse me. Can you help me move a boulder?" Link asked the robot. It was facing a wall so it wasn't fully visible. "I would like to help you, but I can't." The robot turned and Link could see the robot's other arm was missing. "I lost my arm somewhere near the entrance to the Lanayru Mining Facility. Maybe if you can find it I'll be able to help." said the robot. "Okay." Link said as he went back to the entrance of the Lanayru Mining Facility. He looked around and saw a group of moblins in the distance. There were three moblins, this made it harder to look for the robot's arm. He would have to defeat the moblins before he could start searching.

First he had to have them all face him. Once they all saw him and faced his direction, he ran around and ran back and forth behind them with his sword slashing away. Once they fully turned around again, he attacked them and they were defeated.
Link could hear a sort of buzzing in the distance. He walked around as is became a little louder. He suddenly tripped. He got up dazed and saw he had tripped on the robot's arm. He picked it up and ran as fast as he could to the robot. Once he had gotten there, he went inside the cave and showed the robot his arm.

"You found it!" The robot exclaimed. "Here you go." Link handed the robot his arm back with a smile. The robot put the arm a few inches away from where it should go and it instantly connected with a stream of electricity. "Thank you. Now, where is that boulder?" Link showed the robot to the boulder. "Well it's about time." said Ghirahim. The robot lifted the boulder out of the way. "Thank you!" said Link. "No, thank you." the robot said as he returned to his work. "So, shall we head in?" said Ghirahim.
