Link and Zelda looked immediately at the goddess statue and saw coming from behind it, a dark figure. He was coming for the triforce, whoever 'he' was. Link and Zelda didn't know what to do, but they had to think quick. Link didn't have a sword and they couldn't fight off whoever it was. Zelda knew what she had to do. Still obtaining the memories of the goddess, she had had a backup plan in case something like this ever occurred, but she never thought she would have to use it.
They both quickly ran up to the goddess statue, where the triforce lay. Zelda gave Link a nod and immediately he made a sharp turn and rushed inside the sealed temple. Zelda climbed up the goddess statue so that she was in front of the triforce.
As they split up, the malevolent force drew closer, and closer. He had finally reached the goddess statue. When he saw Zelda guarding the triforce, as if she stood a chance, he laughed a dark, deep evil laugh. "You honestly think that a mortal like you could stand before me and prevent me from obtaining what I desire?" Zelda still stood there, not frightened by his threatening words."Who are you?" Zelda asked. The man grinned, "I suppose if you are to be brought down by me, you might as well know, pesky mortal. I am Morrt. Now stand down. Before death befalls you." Zelda didn't move a muscle. "If this is what you so desire..." Zelda still didn't move. "THEN IT SHALL BE DONE!" As Morrt lifted his arms, as if to fire something at Zelda with his bare hands, Link came up from behind and slashed him from behind, leaving a large, bleeding gash on his back. Link was now wielding the Master Sword, the blade of evil's bane.
After Link had done his attack it left Morrt stunned, which gave Zelda enough time to separate the triforce. The triforce of courage was now in Link's possession as the triforce of wisdom was now in Zelda's. The triforce of power, however, laid still on the statue of the goddess.
Morrt knew what was going on. "If you think separating the triforce will stop me then you wrong. If death is what it takes, then I will do so." Morrt threatened. He headed for the triforce of power but Link, sword in hand, stood ready to fight. "How pathetic, a little human thinks he can defeat me. We shall see about that." Link charged
HIYAAAAAA!
Morrt pulled out a sword and blocked the attack. Morrt soon overpowered Link, pushing him back. As soon as Link was knocked back, Morrt was getting ready to strike with some sword of evil magic. But before Morrt could build up enough energy to finally shoot it, Link sliced along his face. This left Morrt open for a series of attacks, so Link held his sword skyward and released a skyward strike.Zelda still stood upon the goddess statue and watched the battle. She wanted to help but she didn't have any weapons or anything of use.
AAAGH!
Link flew to the ground. Link knew he wouldn't be able to keep on attacking him forever, but the strike Morrt landed was stronger than he had expected. Morrt again was ready to do a dark magic move, but Link was to far away. Morrt fired it. Usually, Link would be fine in this scenario, but he didn't have a shield. Link quickly repelled it with his sword and sent it flying back to Morrt. They were soon knocking it back and forth to each other until it had hit Link. It left Link stunned on the ground. "LINK!" Zelda cried.Morrt looked up at the goddess statue. Zelda was still guarding the triforce of power. He shot dark magic at Zelda badly wounding her at her waist and while she held onto it tightly and still not moving Morrt knocked her of the side of the goddess statue as she fell, plummeting down roughly a hundred feet. Until she landed hard on the cold ground.
Link quickly got up and ran towards her. "ZELDA!!!" He was suddenly blinded by a bright flash. Morrt had obtained the triforce of power. The blinding light lasted a few more seconds. As soon as the light had faded he quickly rushed over to Zelda's unconscious, limp, bleeding body. She was bleeding badly at her arm and waist. Link knelt down and picked her up so she was resting on his lap.
"Zelda!! Wake up! Please! Come on!!" He shook her but she wouldn't wake up. He tried feeling her pulse, but he felt nothing. "Zelda! Please, don't leave me!! Zel, wake up! Please! ZELDA!!" He cried clutching her trying to hold back the tears streaming down his face as he tried to prevent anymore blood to escape from her arms and waist,
"I told you once, stay out of my way. Now look what you've done. Foolish boy." Morrt said as he left into Faron Woods."ZELDA!! Come on! You can't leave me! Please, not today!! PLEASE WAKE UP!!" He couldn't stop the tears. Link tried to listen for Zelda's heartbeat, or see if she was breathing. But there was no heartbeat. No breath.
Zelda was dead.
There was nothing Link could do but sit there as Zelda slowly faded away from his world in his arms forever.
