"Are you sure you got everything, (Y/n)?"
"Yes Melanie, I'm sure." (Y/n) zipped up her suitcase and dragged it down the stairs while her older sister grabbed the other one and took it down where a taxi was waiting to take her to the airport.
"Passport?"
"Here."
"Phone and charger?"
"Right here."
"Mr. Duckie?"
She glared Melanie. "I haven't seen Mr. Duckie in years!"
"I'm joking, I'm joking of course. I saw him in your suitcase buried under all your t-shirts."
"Don't go through my stuff!"
"Whatever. Come on, you've got to hurry up and get to the airport, you can yell at me later." Melanie shoved her toward the car, then gave her one last hug before going back inside the car.
(Y/n) rolled her eyes and buckled her seat belt before the car drove off. She was terribly bored since the airport was almost an hour from her house, so she played games all the way there after remembering to text her parents that she'd left the house safely.
After thanking the driver, going through security, buying herself a lunch, texting her parents to let them know that she was boarding before getting on the plane, then setting her phone to airplane mode, she put her phone in her backpack and pulled out a small booklet.
The Students' Handbook of Standton's Private School
She sighed and looked out the window of the plane. As excited as she was to be going to such a prestigious school, it was in the middle of nowhere on the east coast of America. Not to mention she'd been accepted in the middle of the year due to some paperwork mix-ups, so everyone was going to know each other while she would have to meet everyone. She really hoped she didn't make a fool of herself before she could properly introduce herself.
"Hello passengers, and thank you for flying with us today. Our trip to New York will take approximately 6 hours and 18 minutes. Please direct your attention to the following safety video."
(Y/n) sighed and settled in for the long flight.

"Kiku!"
The boy in question frowned and looked up from his book. "Can I herp you Arfred-kun?"
"Did you hear? We're getting a new transfer student after the break is over!"
"That's nice. You seem very excited."
"Hell yeah dude! Hey, maybe you can make a new friend!"
"Perhaps." Kiku really didn't understand why Alfred kept trying to get him to talk to other people so much. He was just fine keeping to himself. Honestly, keeping up with just Alfred, Yao, Ludwig and Feliciano was already exhausting enough.
"Hey, are you listening to me?"
Kiku shook his head. "Sorry, I was trying to focus on my book to finish a history project. Terr me about it rater."
"Alright dude, if you say so. Just at least try to talk to the new kid once." Alfred waved as he left the library, and Kiku sunk deeper into the bean bag chair he was sitting in. Why can't they just leave me alone?
----
When school started up again, all Kiku could hear was talk about the new girl who'd transferred in. "Hey, have-a you seen the-a new girl yet?" Feliciano asked as they sat down for chemistry. "I-a saw her in mia English class. She's-a, smart, pretty, and even quiet, just-a like you! You-a might even become-a friends!"
