"Wait, how did-" (Y/n) sighed in exasperation and fell back on the couch. "I'm so confused."
"Here, ret me exprain." Kiku rewound the episode they were watching to a certain point and explained a few details she'd missed.
"Oh, that makes sense." Kiku went back and started the next episode, but when he looked back at Ivy, she seemed to be glaring back at him. He shrugged it off and turned back to the television. He had been unwilling to watch this at the beginning, but since he had already seen the series several times over, he could showcase his knowledge. He was glad he was helping (Y/n) understand the show, but the constant annoyance it seemed to cause Ivy was a bonus as well.
After they'd finished their anime binge, (Y/n) volunteered to go get food for them while they cleaned up. As loathe as he was to spend time with Ivy, letting the two of them spend time together would be even worse, so he let her go while he unhooked his things from Ivy's television while she cleaned up their snacks.
"Hey Kiku, can I talk to about something?"
He turned to her as he gathered his wires. "Hmm?"
"Listen, I like the show, probably not as much as you and (Y/n), but I would like to figure some things out on my own. At the very least, if you're going to keep pausing and rewinding the show to explain something, could you whisper it?"
He shrugged. "Sure."
"Thanks. Out of all the episodes we watched today, which one was your favorite? It seems like you really love this show based on how much thought you've put into your analysis of the show."
She continued to ask him questions about the show that he answered with short sentences. Luckily, she didn't seem to mind, going on her own rants while he just listened and occasionally corrected some of her assumptions.
"I'm back!" (Y/n) set a bag on Ivy's desk and pulled out a cup of soup for herself before handing Ivy a sandwich and Kiku a salad. They all ate together, Ivy and (Y/n) doing most of the talking before Kiku and (Y/n) went back to their rooms. "Thanks for doing this with us today. I had a lot of fun."
"Of course. Anime is arways enjoyabre, and spending time with you makes me happy as werr."
(Y/n) smiled and blushed. "Thanks, I'm glad to hear it. Spending time with you makes me feel happy too."
"Are we doing this again next weekend?"
"No, Ivy is going to visit her cousins next weekend."
"Is that so? Do you want to join me and watch another show instead?"
"That sounds fun. Did you have a series in mind?"
"Ie, but there are plenty of good shows to watch."
"If you didn't have anything in mind, there were a couple I was looking at. Seven Deadly Sins and Fruits Basket I think they were called. Do you have a preference?"
"You can choose which show we watch."
"Well... since My Hero Academia is an action anime, I think I'd like to watch Fruits Basket first."
"Then that's what we'rr watch. Have a good night (Y/n)-chan."
"Good night Ki-kun. I'll see you tomorrow!" She walked down the hallway and he made his way back to his dorm in the cold night. He glanced back at the dorm, and by some miracle, he saw (Y/n) through the window of her room. She smiled and waved to him before closing the curtains and Kiku could tell by her shadow that she was changing into her pajamas. He always thought so when he saw her, but the shape of her body now that her clothes weren't getting in the way was-
