Kiku couldn't see anything but red. There was something running into his eyes, no matter how many times he wiped at them, so he just left it while he kept walking.
Slowly, everything in his vision started to clear up. The blobs of shades of red became shapes. There was one that looked like an American football, but upon kicking it, he found it was soft.
There was a lot of those shapes and things littered all over the floor. Thy were all wet, and when he stepped on them, some sort of liquid oozed out onto the floor. It was weird, but Kiku just walked on as everything became more clear.
At some point, the liquid had stopped dripping into his eyes, but everything around him was still red. The walls, the floor, the windows, the katana in his hand, dragging across the ground with an awful screech every step he took, the severed body parts and lifeless corpses covering the ground. Yao's head was lying in the middle of the hall, so Kiku kicked it out of spite before moving on.
He would have just kept walking straight, but he heard... sobbing? The sounds led him down a few twists and turns, every step towards the crying making his head pound harder and amplified the screeching of his blade on the ground.
(Y/n) was the only thing that wasn't red anywhere but her eyes. They were bloodshot as she sobbed over one of the few corpses that wasn't missing a body part. In her hands was the body of a girl, who Kiku eventually recognized as Ivy when he got closer.
Despite the sound of his katana dragging on the floor seeming to grow exponentially louder by the second, (Y/n) didn't look up until he was right next to her. Her eyes were burning with... anger? Fear? No. Hate. All he could see was the hate that had eaten her up.
"I suppose you're here to kill me as well and add to your body count." She looked back down at Ivy's lifeless corpse. "Can't say I'm all too surprised. Not that I'd want to live in a world with you." She was silent for a minute before looking back up at him. "Well?! Do it!"
Without a word, Kiku lifted his katana and drove it through her neck, watching as she collapsed onto the ground, her arms still wrapped around her friend's body. He then carefully cut out her heart and removed it from her chest before going back the way he came and listening to her heartbeat as he roamed the never ending halls.

(Y/n) was ready to snap at whoever the fuck was calling her when she was asleep. "It is 3 in the morning, what do you want?"
"A-anata?" It was Kiku, and (Y/n) immediately regretted her words when she heard him stuttering. "Gomen nasai, I didn't mean to wake you up. G-go back to sreep, I'rr-"
"No, no, you're fine Kiku. I'm sorry, I'm crabby when I'm tired." She sat up and rubbed her eyes. "What is it?"
"I-I just had a bad dream, I'm sorry, I just forgot that you'd arso be asreep right now."
"What happened?"
"I... can I come to your room?"
"Right now? I... guess, but I'm not going to cover for you if you get caught."
"Arigato." He hung up and (Y/n) rubbed her eyes as she got out of bed and pulled on a sweatshirt before taking out a book and flashlight. Much sooner than she expected, there was a knock on her door, and she opened it up.
Almost immediately, she was pulled into a tight hug and almost had the breath squeezed out of her as Kiku buried his face into the crook of her neck. "Thank god, you're stirr here."
She hugged him back and slowly managed to lessen his grip on her. "I'm right here, I'm right here. Are you okay? What happened sweetie?"
Kiku just shook his head and picked her up before setting her down on her bed and crawling on next to her after kicking off his shoes. He hugged her close to him while she just hugged him back and kept talking to him, until she heard him mumble, "...can't rose you."
