"You want me to do what?"

Kiku swallowed down his nervousness again as (Y/n) paused the movie they were watching and turned toward him. "M-my famiry is having a reunion in a month in California. I wanted to know if you wanted to come with me.

"Uh, what date?"

"June 25th."

(Y/n) pulled out her phone and checked her calendar. "Uh, my family doesn't have anything planned around that time, but are you sure that I'm allowed to come? That would be a little weird, wouldn't it?"

What would be wrong with introducing my future fiance? When we're married, there'd be no question as to if you were coming or not. "I arready asked them. Besides, Kuro is bringing his girrfriend, so you'rr be fine."

"Won't it be expensive? I mean, don't live anywhere close to California."

"I... considered that."

"Why do you sound kind of regretful about that?"

Kiku leaned over the side of the bed a dug around in his backpack before pulling out a colorful brochure. "You remember how you wanted to major in (whatever) when you get to college?"

"Yeah...?" (Y/n) accepted the brochure from him and flipped through it.

"Werr, they're having a program for it at a nearby correge around the same time as the reunion. You could either go to the program first and stay behind a few extra days for the reunion, or go to the reunion first and then go for a second session of the program. Onry if you want to of course."

(Y/n) smiled, which made Kiku's heart swell. "I'm flattered you've been thinking about this and found this for me. But, you were hesitant to share this with me, and I want to know why."

He looked down at his hands, and (Y/n) just looked back at him until he finally caved with a sigh. "I was... researching flight plans and filled out the information to sign you up for both sessions before you came here."

(Y/n) stared at him for a second before putting a hand on his head while he looked away in embarrassment. "Babe. I love you. Stop that."

"Gomennasai."

"So long as you didn't actually register me for a session, we're fine. Give me a few minutes to call my parents and talk to them about it tonight, and I'll let you know what we'll do tomorrow. But for now, let's just finish this movie."

"Good morning Kiku!"

Kiku let (Y/n) into the dorm room, and Yao politely excused himself. "Good morning." He kissed her on the forehead, and she pecked him on the cheek before setting down the bag of bagels and fruit on the desk.

"So, I was talking to my parents for a long time last night..." Kiku nodded, drumming his fingers aimlessly on the desk as she unpacked the food. "And I will be joining you in- Woah, Kiku, careful, you're going to knock the food over!"

Kiku ignored her in favor of spinning her around  before setting her back down on the ground and kissing her on the lips. "Can we sign you up now?"

"Yes, yes, you can sign me-" (Y/n) laughed as she was yanked over to the computer on Kiku's desk and he switched over to a tab that still had all of her information in it. "Kiku, you can sign me up, but after breakfast. Come on, let's eat first."

(Y/n) pulled away from him and grabbed the picnic basket that Kiku hadn't noticed before. She pulled a blanket out of the basket and laid it out on the floor of the room. "Come on, take a seat. And grab the food too."
