Chronox walked up to Alex, who was still confused as to what had just happened in the past few moments, trying to comprehend as to what that earth wall was.

"I-I, w-what h-how..?" Alex stuttered. Chronox kneeled down and inspected the ground below them as he picked up a handful of the black earth. He looked at Alex and began to think of something. After a while, he stood up and snapped his fingers. Suddenly, multiple black orbs surrounded Alex as the boy asked him.

"C-Chronox? W-what're you doing?" But Chronox only deadpanned at him. The orbs all together shot towards him without warning. Alex only closed his eyes while covering his vitals with his arms.

It was dark, Alex opened his eyes and look around. He felt his surroundings only to find that they felt like stone. As he reached for the stone wall in front of him, it rumbled at the touch of his fingertips. Alex thought for a moment and swiped his hand down, the stone walls that were surrounding him did the same.

"I guess my hunch was right" Chronox voiced out, as put on a soft smile towards Alex "Looks like you've unlocked your talent." He continued, to which Alex responded

"Yeah, by almost killing me?!" He yelled. He calmed down afterwards and asked "What's a talent anyway? I know- actually, I don't know what just happened. Why can I control earth? Isn't my element darkness?"

"All questions will answered in due time my boy. Now let me explain" he began "Talents are elemental abilities that are unique to the user, these abilities cannot be achieved by others but only by yourself. Meaning, not everyone can have talents and they also cannot be taught. A talent cannot be similar to one another. Even if the methods look identical, it is only a variety of it." As Chronox finished explaining, Alex asked

"Alright, so what's my talent anyways?"

"Well, judging by how you managed to manipulate the earth despite your element, I'd say it's corruption?" He replied with a hint of curiosity in his tone. "You're able to replace the very essence of the element itself with your own without completely altering it to dark energy. Making you able to control the element you've corrupted such as the earth you just used." He continued.

As Alex stared at his hands, he began to wonder what else could he do with this new profound ability of his. Could he be able to manipulate the other elements like Fire? Water? Ice? The possibilities he could do were endless. As the sun sets, the two head inside and to take a rest. Later, they had finished dinner and were now preparing for bed. Chronox had already snored the night away while Alex couldn't sleep. It wasn't because of Chronox's snoring, no, he kept thinking about what had happened in the past weeks that led up to this day.

He slowly got up from his sleeping area, looking over at Chronox to see if he was truly sleeping or awake. Alex then proceeded to sneak out of the Manor and went outside. He took a breath of the night's air and explored around the area. He came to stop and sat by a pond, hidden in the trees. As he stared at the clear water, reflecting the shining moon above, he began to think about today's training. His thoughts were broken as a little floating light flew past him. Alex was startled but calmed down.

'Light bugs, must be mating season' he thought, as they all gathered around the pond, interacting with one another to find a soulmate. It was a sort of a dance the way they intertwined with their partner, letting love blossom between them to secure a future for themselves and for future generations of light bugs to come. Alex observed one particular light bug, that was a bit off color than rest, was rejected by it's mate and flew away, it began to fly in sadness and finally lands onto Alex's shoulder, thinking it was a rock of some sort.

"Looks like you got dumped too huh? Don't worry, I got you." Alex perked up, trying to cheer it up from it's sorrow. The little bug looked at him in shocked as it did not expect its place of rest would be alive and began to aim it's abdomen to protect itself. It began to glow brighter than it was before, signalling that it was going to fire a beam of light towards Alex. He only smiled and said
