*2 days later*

Daisy's pov:

I stood in the kitchen, packing Connor and Dahlia's lunch, as they got ready for school. Dahlia came out of her room, carrying her box of hair things so I could do her hair. Zipping up Connor's lunchbox, I had her sit down on the bar stool in front of the island.I brushed her long dark brown hair, having her pick out what two hair ties she wants. I took the blue elastic, creating the first pigtail. Taking the other blue elastic, I created the other pigtail. As I tightened them, Connor came out of his room, wearing a Nike shirt, jeans, and his gray Nike shoes. Dahlia got off the stool, closing the box, before taking it back to her room. I opened the freezer, grabbing the box of waffles out. I placed two into the toaster, pushing down the handle, before putting the box back into the freezer. Taking two string cheeses out of the fridge, I threw them onto the counter, before taking out two apple juices. When the waffles popped out of the toaster, I spread butter onto them, placing the string cheese next to it on each kids plate.

As they ate their breakfast, I made myself a cup of coffee. I took the hazelnut k-cup out of the drawer, placing it into the Keurig, turning it on. As I waited for it to brew, I went to the fridge, grabbing out the milk and creamer. Christian came into the apartment, placing his gym bag next to the front door. As I stirred in the milk, sugar, and creamer, he wrapped his sweaty arms around me, giving me a kiss on the cheek. As the kids finished their breakfast, they placed their plates into the sink, going to their rooms to get their school things. Christian grabbed his keys off of the hook, waiting for both Connor and Dahlia so he could take them to school. I kissed each of the kids bye, before they left with their dad to go to school.

*a couple of hours later*

I stood in the kitchen, cleaning out the cabinet while the kids were at school. I organized the mugs, placing the travel cups onto the top shelf. As I was wiping down the shelves, Christian grabbed his keys, before leaving the apartment. Stepping down from the chair that I was standing on, I took a sip of my tea. Soon my 2:30 alarm went off, meaning that it was time for me to leave to pick Connor and Dahlia up from school. Putting out the candle, I grabbed my keys and wallet, running downstairs to my car. I got in, driving to  the elementary school.
