The memories to come

Chp. 8

*a day later* (Apr 19)

Isabella's pov:

Waking up this morning was a little rough, but nothing a cup of coffee can't fix. I turned on the coffee maker, taking a hazelnut pod out of the holder, placing it into the slot. Opening up the cabinet above the coffee maker, I took out a white mug that had an I made out of flowers on it, setting it on the tray that was connected to my coffee maker. While it was brewing, I went to go get dressed since I would be taking Chase to school in two hours. Opening my closet door, I pulled out a white dress that had red flowers on it. I then grabbed a pair of beige sandals, putting them on, before securing the buckle. Finally, my coffee was done brewing and I finished it up by adding creamer and some 2% milk. At seven o'clock, I woke Chase up since he had to be at school in an hour.

While Chase was getting ready, I placed two blueberry waffles into the toaster, before preparing his lunch. Today, he was having a ham and swiss cheese sandwich, some cheese cubes, chips, and a Capri Sun. I packaged everything up, before placing it into his superhero lunchbox. Chase came out about five minutes later, carrying his shoes and backpack. Taking his water bottle out of the cabinet, I set it onto the counter, so he could fill it up. He took the lid off, filling it with a little ice and water up to the line. Afterward, he took a Gatorade capsule out of the drawer, pressing it down into the lid to flavor his drink.

*An hour later*

Chase and I headed down to the car from the apartment so that I could take him to school. He got into the passenger seat, placing his bag onto the floor in front of him. I pulled out of the parking lot, before heading north towards the elementary school. After dropping Chase off, I headed to the grocery store so I could pick up a few things. Since Chase's birthday is in a couple of weeks, I would also be getting him birthday gifts. I ended up getting him a couple of video games as well as some clothes. Personally, Chase wasn't big on toys anymore.

*2 days later* (April 21)

Friday was finally here and Chase, Corey, and I were going out to dinner like we do every week. Tonight, we were going to Pownall's since we hadn't been there in a couple of weeks. When we arrived, they sat us in the back room since the front was crowded. We looked over the menu before our waitress came for our drink orders. Once the waitress came back with our drinks, she took our order and both Chase and I got the cheeseburger combo, while Corey got the fish sandwich.
