*4 weeks and 1 day later* (Aug 21)

Tori's pov:

The annoying sound of my alarm went off at 5:30, signaling that it was time to get ready for the first day of school. I unlocked my phone, turning off the alarm. This year was my final year of high school. I started the morning by lighting my watermelon lemonade candle. Opening up my wardrobe, I pulled out a red and white striped romper, taking my black sandals off of my shoe rack. Walking into my bathroom, I changed out of my pajamas and into the romper. Plugging in my curling iron, I brushed my hair as it heated up. Getting all of the tangles out, I sprayed my long brunette hair with heat protectant, brushing through it one more time. I curled my hair, spraying it with hairspray.

After finishing my hair, I added a headband, and put in the diamond earrings that my dad had bought me. Walking back into my room, I grabbed my Michael Kors backpack off of my desk chair, going downstairs to the kitchen. My mom was in the kitchen making French toast for breakfast, while my father was getting dressed for work. Taking my sunflower mug out of the cabinet, I placed it under the keurig, making a cup of hazelnut coffee. Taking the milk out of the fridge, I added it as well as some sugar to my coffee, stirring it.

I sat down at the kitchen table, eating my French toast and sipping on my coffee. After I finished my breakfast, I washed my dishes. I made sure that I had everything in my backpack, before I grabbed my wallet and keys. Carrying my backpack, I went out to my light blue jeep, unlocking the door with the key fob. I hopped inside, driving to school. I parked on the side of the school where the ports were. I walked inside the school, heading to my favorite teacher's room. Ivory, my best friend was already in there. Today was also the release of her first book, which she's worked on for months. Ivory and I then left going to our first period which is Civics.

*at lunch*

The core four of our group was finally back together after a couple of weeks. The last time I remember all of us hanging out was when we went to the Grand Canyon together. Ivory's been distant because she had been working on the publishing of her book. After I dumped my tray, Ivory and I headed to the dance room because our fifth period is Charisma. About 20 minutes into the class, Ivory and I got called out because we were passing out books for the English teachers.

*after school*

When I got home, I left a note for my parents, before leaving to go help set up the gymnasium for the signing that is tonight. Ivory was now wearing a long floral maxi dress and had her hair curled. I helped Eli set up the tables, while Ivory opened up the boxes of books, setting them onto the table behind the one that she was going to be sitting at.
