You lead your new undead friend, Zora, down to the cafeteria, hoping your friends survived the sudden attack. Before you left to the cafeteria, however, you went into the other room to grab your baseball bat. You had to try and convince Zora that you weren't going to hit him with it. You managed to calm him down, but you had to hold his hand, quite literally, while walking to the kitchen. "Hey! (Y/n!)" A familiar male voice shouts the moment you enter the cafeteria. "Hey (m/f/n)! Everyone alright?" You ask, Zora avoiding entering the room. "Yeah, Aiden has claw marks on his neck from Janson, but he should be fine. Once we left the cafeteria, the zombies left cause there wasn't any food." He explains, walking up to you. You clear your throat nervously. "Speaking of zombies..." You look to the entrance of the cafeteria, where Zora was peaking his head in nervously. (M/f/n) gives you a confused look. "Come on out Zora." You whisper, smiling warmly. Zora nervously walks up to you, fiddling with his hands. (M/f/n)'s eyes widen as he pulls out his desert eagle pistol, pointing it to Zora. Zora's eyes widen as he attempts to hide behind you, but seeing as he was so much taller then you, it didn't work very well. "(Y/n), run!" (M/f/n) shouts. "Ok, calm down, everybody!" You state, raising your arms to keep Zora and (m/f/n) away from each other. "He's a zombie!" (M/f/n) shouts. "I know, but he's friendly!" You explain. Zora clings to you, his face resting on your shoulder in fear. You gently and awkwardly pat his back. "A zombie? Friendly? I don't buy it." (M/f/n) folds his arms with a raised eyebrow. "I met him after the horde attack." You explain, bringing Zora closer. "He was just as scared of me as I was of him. And, as you can see, he's still a bit shy." Zora slowly looks up at (m/f/n), clearly nervous. (M/f/n) put his pistol away, glaring at Zora suspiciously. "The others aren't going to be happy you're keeping a zombie as a pet." He folds his arms again. "He's not a pet! He's a friend!" You counter, an irritated look on your face. Zora gives you a shocked look, that you didn't really notice because you were arguing with (m/f/n). "Friend, pet, whatever. He's a zombie. That's all the others need for them to blow his brains out. Well... if he had any brains." He says the last part quietly. "I'll just calmly explain that Zora is a friend, and will be treated just like another survivor. Beside, he can provide insight on what the hell happened here." You fold your arms too, trying to stare (m/f/n) down. You all stood in an awkward silence until finally, (m/f/n) broke. "Alright alright. Fine. He can stay. But he better not attack anyone." Zora nervously stepped up. "I-I don't eat people, if th-that's what you're worried about..." He mutters, fiddling with his hands again. (M/f/n)'s eyes widen slightly in surprise. "So, he can speak." He states. "O-Oh, yes, I can. A-All zombies can, we j-just don't like too often..." You gently take Zora's hand, trying to help calm his nerves. It worked better then you thought. He looks down at your hand and stands up straight, looking (m/f/n) in the eyes. "So I guess we have one more mouth to feed." (M/f/n) sighs. "Oh no! Don't worry about feeding me! Because we're undead, zombies don't really need to eat. We just do it because it makes us feel alive." Zora smiles. (M/f/n) raises his eyebrow. "Really?" Zora nods. "Some of us can't control our urges, so we sometimes eat things we're not supposed to." "Like people." You look at him. He laughs nervously, scratching the back of his neck. "Yeah... like... people." (M/f/n) narrows his eyes. "Well, look, I'm going to head back with the others. Why don't you two stay here and figure out away to introduce Zora without causing a panic." He states, walking out of the cafeteria. Zora rubs the back of his neck again and looks down at you. "Hey... I just want to thank you for not killing me." He says softly. You smile up at him. "Of course. Maybe I judged zombies too harshly." He chuckles slightly. "Well, I just think it was really cool of you to stand up for me like that." He leans down and plants a gentle kiss on your cheek, causing a dark blush to form across your face. He chuckles again, looking down at you. "Well..." You say softly, clearing your throat. "We should probably introduce you to the others." You state in an embarrassed tone, dragging him away from the cafeteria. He starts laughing, following you. He smirks slightly and gently takes your hand in his as you walk down the dark hallways. You weren't sure where this was going, but you knew you were going to enjoy it with your new zombie companion.
