An: before you read this just know that this is about having homosexual parents and if your having any troubles near this subject, you can always talk to me. My Instagram is @ saffymercury_14 ❤️
I sat on the cold plastic chair as I tapped my pen on the white paper. The questions kept rolling in my head
"Why don't you have a mum?""Why is you dad gay? He's supposed to be a rockstar!"
"So you live with only men?"
"Are you gay too?"
People keep asking when really I just want to go home and forget everyone. The bell went
3:20 . I sigh in relief that I can leave. I was packing up my stuff as I heard someone whisper things." I think it's sad that she hasn't got a mum"
"Yea I know right,it's not normal"
"Personally I feel sorry for her"
I turned my head around to see three girls standing there. Their faces close to each other, they notice me and turn away.I just threw my bag on my shoulder and walked out the dreadful building. See you'd think I'm popular because my dads a rockstar but it's 1982 and my dads gay but I love him to bits, fuck what others think because my dad is the best.
I mean at least I don't have a curfew like the rest of them. I punch in the code and the gate opens. I open the green wooden door and see my dads sitting on the red leather sofa. They both give me a smile and offer the seat in the middle and I walk over and sit in between my loving fathers. Jim to my right and Freddie to my left.
"How's your day been darling?" Freddie asked.
"Oh it's been.........okay I guess" I answered back.
"You guess?" Jim questioned. I sighed"Well um some people in class were talking about you guys.......being gay." I said and didn't dare to make eye contact with any of them.
"Those whores" my dad whispered but i could still hear him. "Dad!" I said and smacked his arm. Him and Jim laughed their heads off.
"No seriously darling, just ignore them. I mean you have the best life any teenager could ask for!". My dad exclaimed, "yea you even have the sixteenth chapel painted on your ceiling" Jim joined in."My dear you have the best dad and dad ever and we love you as much as led Zeppelin."( a/n: get it because at one point Queen we're jealous of them) just then Romeo jumped on my lap and sprawled across my legs like it's his bed.
Joe walked in from the kitchen and he took a seat on the armchair opposite us (a/n: joe used to be Freddie's cook In garden lodge). "I made some cookies while you were at school earlier. Why don't you go eat some, I'm sure your hungry after a hard day at school." He said and I jumped up from the sofa and walked to the kitchen.
And sure enough there was a plate of chocolate chip cookies and a glass of milk for me on the pale yellow kitchen counter.
"THANKS JOE". I shouted with a mouth full of cookie. It's now late evening and I'm sprawled out on my bed. Looking at my Beatles record,oh how I wish John was still alive and I could meet him. Just then all you need is love came on and I couldn't help but smile. I met the Beatles back stage at one of their concerts with my dad in 1968. Somehow this woman had family issues to deal with and gave us the backstage passes. When I met them I was 5 and I remembered John and Paul picking me up but George and Ringo were a bit scared to hold me with my dad in front of them. But paul kept squeezing my cheeks and John kept hugging me. It was like they were the fans and we were the rockstars. I can still meet paul, Ringo and George but i liked John the most. Just then my dad walked into my room dancing. I laughed as he lip synced to ob- la-di. Ob-la-da. "Come on join me darling!" He said and I sat up and jumped to my feet. "In a couple of years they have built a home sweet home" John sang. Then Jim came in along with joe and we all danced together. "Ob-la-di ob-la-da!" We all finished the song and my dad had the idea of going out to the movies so we got ready but joe couldn't come so it's just me and my dads. I put on a pair of jeans with a Gray champion hoodie which my dad brought me to cheer me up one time. My father would spend a fortune and never buy anything useless. We ended up going to see the breakfast club (a/n: if you haven't seen this movie,go see it because it's amazing) I loved the movie and so did my dad. We were walking and talking, basically having a good time until I saw one of the girls from school who were talking about me. My smile dropped and I just glared at her. My dad was laughing until he saw my face and asked "are you alright darling?" With a worried expression on his face. He looked to see where my eyes landed and asked if that was the person who was talking crap about him and Jim. I just nodded my head and her mum recognised my dad and had a shocked expression on her face as her daughter stood there looking ashamed. Then I started to smirk, her parents didn't hate my dad. She was just jealous of me for having such an amazing dad when hers is always out doing stupid stuff. "H-hello I'm a big fan of your work Mr Mercury" the woman stuttered and held a hand out to my dad. My dad gave the woman an unpleasant look and the woman asked "what's wrong Mr Mercury? Have I done something wrong? Am I bothering you at all?" Then she looked at me and smiled but I didn't pay attention because I was looking at her daughter instead. And she furrowed her eyebrows. "This is my daughter Stephanie,Stephanie this is Safina Mercury daughter of Freddie Mercury the singer for Queen, one of our favourite bands. Remember?". Me and my dad looked at each other with smirks. I looked at the time 8:47 time to go back home. "Come on dad we must go back home now, see you at school tomorrow Stephanie" I said and grabbed my dads hand. If only I could tell you the look on their faces.
