Safina sat in the church beside her uncles roger,Brian and John, all she felt was darkness. The light has been taken from her and that light was her dear father. She tried to spend as much time as she could with him but one day she finally got the full day off she went up to her dads room to find him still, not breathing. Could you imagine? Seeing a 15 year old cradling her own fathers body in her arms. Safina was sat listening to the priest talk until she heard her own name being called "and now we will have a few words from safina mercury" everyone looked at her and she looked up with a scared look on her face. She hates talking in front of crows, usually she'd have her father tell her to pretend it's only him in the room, to look in his eyes only. But obviously this one time,he's not here for her.
She slowly got up from her seat. As she made her way to the stage, she could hear all the people cries and sniffing. Safina didn't cry much because the day freddie passed she cried like there was no tomorrow. She stood at the microphone and looked at her uncle Brian, he gave her a nod and she begun .
" as you all may know, this is a very sad day for me, I mean for all of us but especially me because freddie was my father and growing up my mother was never there for me. My dad always did everything for me, to make me feel happy, confident, strong, brave and outgoing. He was my superhero and now some stupid illness has taken my superhero from me. I am left with nothing and your probably wondering why I'm not crying, it's because I cried in his arms that day enough for today. I cried like there was no tomorrow, I heard the press every night, I heard the cameras and the voices. Thank you for being in my father's life, his friends were everything to him. I'm sure he's looking down on us right now and wondering why we're all giving him grief. He hated pity so we should stop crying, for him. Rest up easily dad, I love you. Thank you for listening"
The 15 year old sat back in her seat as her uncle roger gave her a side hug. "Good job kid" he said and kissed her four head. The day went on and she talked to everyone there. So many rockstars cried, Paul Mccartney, George Harrison, Elton John, David Bowie, mick Jagger and George Michael. Princess Diana also came because she loved her fathers persona. Freddie was an easy person to befriend and safina gets it from him. They finished the funeral and everyone went home with a smile on their face from the thought and memories of Freddie.
The 15 year old sighed as she opened the door to her house. She had to pack because her mother was keeping the house and safina had to live with her uncle Brian for a while. If your wondering about jim, he's been sent back to Ireland and joes gone to find another job but before he left he gave the 15 year old something her father told him to give her after he died. It was a ring with her fathers name engraved into the front, it was gold and she was told to never take it off. In the note that her father wrote.
"Dear safina, my sweet child, I know right now your confused and sad. But just remember I'll always love you, I'm probably watching down on you right now, I want you to continue queens legacy. Mine too because your my daughter and I gave you the talent you needed. I wish I could've stayed longer with you but I needed to go at some point. I can't be here forever, but I know you'll do amazing without me. Of corse I am giving Ralph the right to marry you, he's truly in love with you so tell him I said that. But don't get marry yet!, (that was supposed to make you laugh dear). Okay I must go now darling, goodbye my gorgeous girl, sincerely your dad."
The girl smiled but had tears in her eyes as she finished reading the note. She looked at the ring then looked up to the roof and whispered "I'm gonna make you proud, just wait" and kissed the ring. She put the note in her pocket and gathered her things. Most of her stuff was at the house. She looked around the house one last time. She reached the piano room and she sat down on the bench. She started the cords to bohemian rhapsody, the first song she learnt on piano and remember the time her father sat with her. It was almost like he was there in that moment. She smiled with her eyes closed and finished the song. She got up and walked down the hallway, looking at pictures of the two. She grabbed the photo of her and her father from when she was 2. The same photo she took when she ran away at age 7. She laughed at the memory and finally got out the house.
She closed the door, took a final look and walked away. She thought to her self in that moment "your still going to be with me everywhere I go, this house doesn't mean anything accept where I spent my childhood. But I spent it with you so your all that matters" and walked until she reached the end of the road where her uncles car was parked. She got in and he started to drive away from garden lodge...
