This is for me as much as it is for you guys, because I need to keep them straight. But, I thought you guys would like to know about the characters, so I made this.

I would have put it as the first chapter, but I figured that it was better to start the story off and giving some background, introducing you to the characters, before I told you everything about them.

***

~Emily Green~

One of the original volunteers for the experiment; the mother of Oliver (Ollie). She was not married at the time of the prologue, but became married between that and chapter 1. She's very calm and reasonable.

~Miranda Davis~

One of the original volunteers for the experiment, she is the mother of Phoenix. She was married at the time of the prologue. She is the character in most good stories that nobody likes. In part, she's sort of based off of Miss Brent from And Then There Were None. I'm reading that book now, and while I don't like Miss Brent, I was sad when she got killed off. She just added so much to the story. I hope Miranda is like that.

~Ruby Taylor~

One of the original volunteers for the experiment. She is the mother of Ashlyn. She was unmarried at the time of the prologue, but she was married by chapter 1. She's one of those people who are slightly childish, but not in a bad way. She's very social, and very kind.

~Lucas Johnson~

One of the original volunteers for the experiment. He is the father of Elijah. He was unmarried in the prologue, but got married before the first chapter. He's an excellent businessman, and is reasonable. He knows how to keep his head in very stressful situations.

~Smith Whitmore~

One of the original volunteers for the experiment, and the father of Lydia. He was married in the prologue, and had a kid already. He is very good at worrying, and is very prepared. He's pretty much the polar opposite of Lucas.

~Oliver Young~

One of the kids who got the powers their parents were supposed to get. He's the son of Emily Green, later Emily Young. While his birth name is Oliver, he answers more to Ollie. He is sassy sometimes, but also sweet.

~Phoenix Davis~

One of the kids who got the powers their parents were supposed to get; the son of Miranda Davis. He is nothing like her. He's calm, and honest (sometimes brutally so). He wants nothing more than to see other people happy. He brings the other kids together, and keeps them in line.

~Ashlyn Reed~

One of the kids who got the powers their parents were supposed to get, and the daughter of Ruby Taylor (later Ruby Reed). She is the youngest of the kids, and the most innocent. The others shield her as much as they can from the rest of the world. She's sweet, and the only one of the kids who isn't bothered by their situation, though she does desperately want to meet her mother, who she's a carbon copy of.

~Elijah Johnson~

One of the kids who got the powers their parents were supposed to get. The son of Lucas Johnson. He's not normally described as nice, but he's not mean either. Truth be told, he's pretty much exactly like his father: calm and reasonable, but with a little bit of a cold side.

~Lydia Whitmore~

One of the kids who got the powers their parents were supposed to get; the daughter of Smith Whitmore. She's very kind and gentle, and she's good at sympathy. She's creative, and loves the arts-- all of them. She keeps the others calm, and helps out Phoenix when he can't keep the others in line.

~Asher Cox~

The caretaker of the kids. He basically views them as his own children, and takes really good care of them. He loves the kids, and truly does care about them. He wants to give them affection, but can't give them much. He home-schooled them for years. He's proud of their every achievement, and the kids have come to trust him. He's their protector and adviser. He's a very good person for raising them.

~Smaller Characters~

-Anyone with Agent in their name will be given a description in the story, but they work for the government. That's all you need to know ahead of time.

-Vera is another student.

-Ashley is Asher's twin sister. She doesn't help him in raising the kids, but she gives advice sometimes to the girls.

I hope this was helpful to everyone who reads this! I figured that you would want to know about the characters. While writing the story, I would appreciate the occasional prompt. Those should be nice.

Also, this isn't every character, but the ones that aren't on this list are either not worthy of mention, or their backgrounds are going to be in the story.

Thank you for reading!
