Himiko sighed as she kicked her feet back and forth. The cafeteria had been rather empty since Kirumi... passed... and she was only in there to escape Tenko. The aikido master had gotten more and more clingy as the killing game progressed and always wanted to hang out with Himiko and Angie.

She let her head hit the table hard.

One of many things she didn't understand about the killing game was why she was chosen. Of all the people in the world, Himiko was chosen to participate.

     Rantaro... Kaede... Ryoma and... Kirumi...

Their names kept repeating in her head. She suddenly felt like crying. Her friends... were dead. The reality finally set in and Himiko crumpled into a tiny ball in her seat.

     "Hey Himi!"

Jumping, the mage turned around to see Kokichi skipping towards the table. He slammed his hands down next to her, "I'm bored! Let's do something!"

Himiko quickly wiped her eyes and looked up, "Um... what did ya wanna do?" Her voice trembled as she spoke and she saw Kokichi frown a bit.

"Well, it depends." He smirked, "I have a few ideas."

He wiggled his eyes at the mage and she poked his side, glaring at him.

"Okay, okay, you're so mean Himi!"

Himiko rolled her eyes, "Nyeh, why don't we just go the the arcade or something?"

He nodded, smiling, "That's a great idea, Himiko!"

Taking the mage's hand, the two walked towards the arcade.

Himiko entered the arcade, Kokichi at her side. They looked around for a moment before the purple haired boy dragged her off in a random direction.

They stood in front of a racing game. Two fake motorcycles sat illuminated by the neon red and yellow lights that hurt the small girl's eyes. She wasn't all that interested in racing games, but Kokichi bounced in excitement.

"Come on slowpoke!" He said while he climbed onto one of the motorcycles.

Himiko followed suit, swinging her leg over the cool plastic. She found it wasn't too uncomfortable, but she definitely didn't want to sit there for longer than necessary.

When the game started, the mage had no idea what to do. She watched Kokichi as he rotated the handlebars and leaned forward. She did the same and her video game motorcycle lurched forward.

An hour or so later, Himiko and Kokichi exited the arcade. She had fun, and it looked like he did as well.

"Hey, ugly." He smirked turning towards her, "We should do that again sometime."

She searched his face for any signs of mischief, "Nyeh, okay..."

"Yay!" He smiled, throwing his arms around her dramatically, "You're the best Himiko! Or is that a lie?"

The mage just rolled her eyes, briefly returning the hug before pulling away.

As the two parted ways, she felt a lot happier than before. Being with Kokichi had made her forget all about their situation.

I wonder if that was his intent the whole time...

This is really short, I know, but for some reason I was having a hard time coming up with something to write. I hope it's still okay. The next one will be better, I promise.
