Chapter 5

I sat in the office waiting, tapping my foot as I waited for Uncle Richard to come get me.

Otis stood in the hall way as I rolled my eyes.

"Riley." I stood up.

I followed him into his office, before sitting down in the chair in front of his desk.

"Did I do something?" I asked.

"No, no." I rolled my eyes.

"Then why am I here?" I asked.

"I need you to tutor, Adam. He's failing most of his classes and quite frankly, he's a git." I scoffed.

"You're a fucking dick." I stood up.

"Do you ever think maybe he would do better if you actually cared about him? All you do is treat him like shit! He's going to be staying with me." I grabbed my bag walking out.

All I could see was red as I stormed out of the school.

"Riley." I ignored the person.

"Riley."

"What?!" I yelled turning.

Otis took a step back, his eyes widened.

"Sorry." I sighed.

"It's okay, are you alright?"

"No, my uncle's an asshole, he literally called Adam stupid and doesn't care for him." I said.

"Your family sucks." I rose a brow.

"No offense." I chuckled.

"None taking." I bit my lip.

"I'm gonna head home, text me after your meeting." He nodded.

"Alright, get home safe."

"I will. See you tomorrow." I kissed his cheek before making my way to my car.

5 days later;

I sat at a park by my house, on a swing as I stared at my feet.

Maeve and I were supposed to hangout but she had something to do.

She still acts the same, but I could feel she was going through something.

My phone buzzed as I sighed taking it out.

Blue Eyes💙; just listening to some albums, you?

Birdy💕; at the park

Blue Eyes💙; is maeve with you?

Birdy💕; nope, she had something to do so im alone

Blue Eyes💙; which park

Birdy💕; waverly west, why?

He didn't respond for 5 minutes as I bit my lip.

Birdy💕; did you die?

Birdy💕; imma slap you 🤬🤬

"Hey." A voice said as I jumped.

I turned around to see Otis, his lanky body in shorts.

"Are you wearing shorts?" I asked.

"Yeah?" I chuckled.

"Cute... you are really lanky."

"Don't remind me." He sat on the swing beside me.

We sat in silence for a little bit until I opened my mouth.
