"Damn I'm hungry" I say to myself as I rip the arm off my prey. After nearly six years of being like this, killing is nothing to me. I take a bite of the flesh, and swallow. A step. I look up.
A woman in her twenties, a ghoul, stands a couple meters before me. She smiles malevolently and tells me to "Lose it". I smile as well. She couldn't possibly be suggesting I give up my hard-earned meal. I brush back my dark red hair, and look up at her with my one, big, green eye.
"Lose it? Why don't you?" As I finish my sentence, the ghoul sneers and attacks. I'm able to dodge in time, and summon my kagune. An ukaku type, it looks like dark red, almost black, rose petals sprouting from my back in the form of wings. These "wings" can shoot what look like thorns.
I can shoot these "thorns", like a gun can shoot bullets. My kakugan has appeared. I open my eye wide and shoot. Thorns blast out and hit the ghoul. Not one misses.
She falls to her knees, then completely over, dead. My thorns are long and sharp. If you don't dodge, you'll be impaled. I suddenly feel a presence behind me. I take off my belt and place it atop my head.
Uta is a genious. He made a head band of black roses that I can also wear as a belt. A single rose hangs down on the left side. Where it hangs down, hides the hole where my left eye should be. I smile and look back.
"Too late, onii-san" I whisper to myself. Without warning, I take off. I hear a shout behind me, but keep going. I return home shortly after. The house is empty, my parents away on a date night.
My older brother hasn't returned yet from his meeting. He'll be home soon, the alley I was just in isn't too far from here.
This is my first fanfic. Hope you like :) Make sure to comment any ideas or suggestions, I'd be happy to hear them :)
