"I swear, it's like he knew something." Kyo tilts his head slightly. "It's nothing. He's just acting like he knows so you'll admit to him." Kyo looks away. "My mom does it all the time. Worst part is, she always gets me with it."
I laugh and we continue heading towards our classroom. We take our seats as sensei-san introduces a new student. A girl, not too tall, but taller than me, walks in. She stands at the front of the classroom and bows. Her short, spikey black hair hardly moves.
She straightens up and introduces herself as Sakura Kuriyama. I look from her smile, up to her eyes. Green, like mine. She takes a seat in the empty seat a couple rows behind me. I see a girl lean over to talk, but Sakura silences her by putting her hand up.
Is she that serious? Or just focussed on her studies? Neither. She stares out the window all throughout class. She seems carefree, and doesn't care about schooling at all.
Lunch arrives, and she sits alone without food. I'd offer her some, but I "forgot" it at home. I drag Kyo over to her and introduce myself. "I'm Rose. Rose Saito. And this is Kyo-kun." I smile as Kyo raises his hand as if saying "hey".
I grab a chair and sit beside her. "So, where are you from?" I ask. "Kyoto." My eyes widen slightly. "Kyoto? That's pretty far."
"Yeah, about five to seven hours, depending on which roads and stops you make." Our conversation went on for quite a while. Sakura is actually quite talkative if she wants to be. I don't know how in the world the topic of ghouls came up, but it did. "I don't mind them. Especially since I am one."
Both Kyo and I jumped slightly. Sakura looked at us questioningly. "Why're you so surprised? Kyo is obviously one as well. You though, you smell like a ghoul, yet different."
"Show us your kakugan then." Kyo says. "After school. Behind the gym. Then there's no one around." It almost sounds like a trap. "Oh, and you have to show me yours as well." We all agree.
School eventually gets out, and the three of us meet up just like we had planned. Sakura looks down, and takes a deep breath. She lifts her head, with her eyes still closed. She opens them, and Kyo and I stare in wonder. Those are definately kakugan.
I don't know why we're so excited. Maybe because we just made friends with another ghoul? Who cares. Kyo takes a breath and his kakugan also appear. Sakura turns to me.
"Your turn." I smile and control mine. Sakura stares in awe as well, before asking, "Are you a half-ghoul?" I nod.
"That's. So. Cool! But, if you're only half, and you're kakugan is in your right eye, then why is your left eye covered?"
"Simple. I don't have a left eye." Sakura blinks a couple times, processing the idea of not actualy having an eye. "You wanna see?" I ask. "The emty socket?" Sakura asks nervously. "Yeah."
Sakura shakes her head quickly. "No thanks." I laugh. "No one ever does." We all laughed a bit, before heading to another cafe and hanging out.
Ello peoplez! Sorry I haven't updated in a week. I've been busy with writing down my original book ideas. Gotta get it out of me :P
Now with Tokyo Ghoul Root A... it is so awesome, yet so infuriating! I don't think I spelt that right...maybe I did... XD Only two episode in and I have SO MANY MIXED FEELINGS! Although, I am kinda happy Ayato wasn't half killed and Kaneki's with him. This way I can hear more Yuki Kaji! He's my favourite voice actor other than Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Kirito) and Natsuki Hanae (Kaneki)! Plus I really like Hiroshi Kamiya :P Anyways...
Make sure to like, comment (anything, no matter how random), and most importantly...KEEP READING! \(^-^)/
