I crept towards the body, moving slowly and cautiously just in case he was faking it. But he wasn’t. He wasn’t breathing. I didn’t want him to die. I just wanted to go home. Home... Suddenly, I had a thought. I moved over to him and searched his pockets. Bingo! He had a mobile phone! I took a deep breath and dialled 999, waiting patiently for an answer. I spoke to a woman and asked for an ambulance, but she needed to know where I was so she could send one. I dashed back out onto the street and searched desperately for a sign of some sort, but there was no sign of one anywhere. I hurried to the end of the street and frantically searched. I saw a road name but it was too far away for me to read it. I rushed close enough to see it was Falcon Close. I told the lady on the phone and within 3 minutes they arrived.

They saved him. He’s not dead. He got charged with abduction and sentenced to 6 years in prison. And me... I got a warning. I don’t think it’s fair, to be honest. I got told never to physically harm someone so seriously unless I was in fear of death. But I was in fear of death. I mean, I’m 15, how am I supposed to know what and what not to do if I get abducted?

Anyway, our school has sent out a newsletter to all the parents calming them about the situation, telling them that he had been arrested. Putting their minds to rest. It’s what they needed, though. You should have heard Keri’s mum.
