A few days later the scouting group came back, and their bags were full. They almost stumbled through the door, which resulted into everyone getting startled. They were exhausted, but they seemed happy. Everyone helped them with their bags and helped them to get to the living room to relax.

Alex's p.o.v

Me and Felix started to pack the bags out in the kitchen, stocking the shelves happily humming together. This would last for at least another month. How did they ever manage to get this much food back? I heard Jisung and Changbin questioning them, asking if there were any signs of other people and how many of the dead ones there were in sight.

'We didn't anyone alive, and the dead one's numbers are decreasing. I think they're starving to death, or so it seems. We went as far as to the city in the north, and met only one horde of about twenty, other than that it was quiet' Seungmin said.

I and Felix went over to them and listened to their conversation. I was just happy that they all came back. Jeongin sat down next to me and I started to brush my hand over his hair. Even though he was just one year younger than me, he could act a lot younger than his age. He was starting to become the little brother I always wanted. I took my arm over his shoulder tickling him a little bit and he started to try to wriggle his way out of my grasp while laughing.

'NOOOO' he shouted while laughing. The others were looking at him laughing, not moving a finger to even try to help him.

I laughed releasing him and watched him run behind Chan to seek shelter. Chan was smiling while looking at everyone, and I think it's the first time I have ever seen him have that look. I fit him. Then he looked at me. I looked away quickly and looked around. I saw Jeongin talk to Changbin and Jisung and I knew deep down that this wouldn't end well. The two sat down next to me, taking their arms around my shoulders attempting to trap me. I quickly stood up and sat down on the sofa opposite of theirs, and it just so happened to be between Chan and Hyunjin.

Minho came back from the kitchen while chewing a carrot and stopped in his tracks when he saw what was going on. He gave Jisung a look that I couldn't quite place. He leaned into the doorway watching how the scene was playing out.

'Hyunjin, move away from her. She deserves punishment for wronging the baby' said Changbin with a serious tone.

I heard Jeongin snickering while hiding behind Minho. I turned to Hyunjin and put the most pleading look on, begging him to not give me up to them. He looked at me for a moment and took his arm around my shoulder. He smirked looking at Changbin.

'No.' he said in a light voice, which offended Changbin and he stood up together with Jisung getting ready to take me by force. I felt another arm around my shoulder. It was Chan's.

'Then we'll take Felix' said Changbin quickly and grabbed Felix, who was standing close by, and he and Jisung started tickling Felix until he was begging for them to stop.

I couldn't stop laughing. Occasionally, it's fun to watch your siblings suffer. This was one of the rare occasions. Only after Felix was laying out of breath on the floor and Changbin and Jisung were high fiving each other, that I noticed that both Chan and Hyunjin still had their arms around my shoulders. They didn't say anything so neither did I.

Then I remembered something. Seungmin said that there were barely any zombies left in the surrounding area. That means that I might have a chance to go back to my childhood home and check if there was anything or anyone left. I heard the boys chatting in the background, and I let my thoughts flow freely. I couldn't tell anyone, or they might say no, or even insist on coming with me, which would put them in danger. They would get worried. I can write them a note that I would be coming back soon. I'd need a bag with some food and water, and probably a bow and some arrows to protect myself. Oh, and a map. What els-...
