Before I got the chance to walk over to Chan, I got tackled into a tight hug.

'I missed you so much! You can't do this to me, Alex! Promise you won't ever disappear like this again.'

Hyunjin was talking without taking a breath, while holding my shoulders tightly and shaking me. He looked right into my eyes and I saw how relieved he was. When he stopped shaking me, he smiled with his sweet, sweet smile and hugged me again.

This time I got the chance to hug him back. I felt my heart beating fast in my chest and my face flush when I hugged him back. I tried to cover it up, but it probably didn't work. When Hyunjin let me go, I looked over to Chan, but he wasn't there anymore.

I looked around and saw him sitting outside on a big stone. It looked like he was thinking. I was about to walk over to him to ask what he wanted to tell me earlier, but I got stopped by Felix.

'Don't' he said in a serious voice.

I didn't understand what he meant, but I listened to him and walked over to the rest of the guys to chat. I saw Felix walking to Chan. I couldn't stop thinking about what just happened. I was confused. For the rest of the night, Felix and Chan were talking alone, while I and the rest were playing games together.

The next few months were all the same. Everyone was waiting for someone to come and get us, but Chan knew that we couldn't sit around and wait. We still went out in groups to find food. It wasn't easy. Me, Hyunjin, Jisung and Changbin became best buds and were usually found hanging out together.

The snow started to melt, and the grass was coming forth. Everything was started to become green and the birds started to chirp and announce that winter was over. Me, Hyunjin, Jisung and Chan were in a group.

This mission was one of the longer ones. We needed to travel quite far to find food now. Changbin and Hyunjin trained me over the winter and now I was pretty good at defending myself and tracking animals.

'Come on best friend, don't fall behind now' Jisung teased me with a sly smile.

'Wait what, from when is she your best friend? I'm her best friend! Right Alex?' Hyunjin protested, which made me laugh. I'm glad that Changbin isn't here, cause then there would be a serious fight about who is best friends with who.

'Oh, come on, nobody wants to be your friend! And anyway, she's talking to you probably because you're just good looking' Jisung shot back and Hyunjin gasped, seriously offended.

I looked at Jisung with a serious look in my eyes. I knew that Jisung had an idea about my feelings towards Hyunjin, even if I didn't tell him anything. But that was crossing the border. I heard Chan laugh behind us. I slowed down my pace so that I could walk with Chan.

I didn't want to listen to Jisung and Hyunjin argue. He smiled at me and continued to walk. We both listened to them bickering at each other.

'Come on! I love her and she loves me! She's like my little sister!' Hyunjin said to Jisung with aggressive arm-waving.

Everyone went a little quiet, and I felt my stomach turn painfully. Jisung looked back at me, and started to lead the conversation the other way. I continued to walk beside Chan, but didn't felt like saying anything. He stayed quiet as well. Did everyone know?

When we finally got to the woods where we were supposed to find some food, the whole group was quiet to not scare off anything. I couldn't concentrate. My head was spinning a bit and I felt a bit nauseous. I thought he liked me back, and to get that thrown right in my face hurt. A lot.
