I and Chan walked until the sun set, and we started to look after a place to stay. We agreed to stay at a karaoke bar, because the rooms were warm and there were sofas that we could sleep on. We cleared the area, making sure there was nothing that could harm us, and sat down. We stayed quiet for a while, but then I got an amazing idea. I had a friend that worked at this karaoke bar a while ago, and I knew that they were this big that they could still be up and running even if the power went out. I stood up and walked to the monitor and tried to turn everything on.

'You do know that the power's gone, right?' Chan asked me with a raised eyebrow while lying on the sofa.

Then the whole room lit up and everything seemed to be working. I guess nobody used up the spare power from there. I looked over at Chan, only to find him imitating the mind-blown emoji. I laughed and scrolled through the songs.

'Come on, this should be enough for about two or three songs, pick one' I looked at him excited and he took over the remote with a wide smile.

He finally picked a song by Day6, the one that was called Sweet Chaos. When the song started, we both tried to be quiet and normal, but at the end of the song, we were jamming hard. Dancing and jumping on the sofas while screaming our lungs out really took a toll on both of us, and when the song ended, we both crash-landed on the sofa. Suddenly everything went dark and we held our breaths. After a short while, we laughed.

'You're a really good, Alex, even if you didn't try' he chuckled and looked over to me. I looked back at him and thanked him. Soon enough we were laying on the sofas with our heads by each other's, cause the sofas were just too short.

'We should probably sleep now, we should be getting back as fast as possible, you know' I said quietly, and he nodded.

'I know. I just didn't expect to feel this normal ever again.'

'Yeah, I know how it feels.' I smiled still a bit out of breath.

'Goodnight Alex, sleep well'

'Night Chan, you too'

I woke up first and looked to my side to see if Chan was still laying there. Before I realized, our noses were touching, because he was turned towards me. He seemed to be still sleeping, so I had to keep myself calm. I slowly sat up and took a deep breath. When I looked back at him, he was sleeping so peacefully that I felt bad for having to wake him up. I got up and took my shoes on before taking my hand on his shoulder carefully trying to wake him up,

'Chan, wake up, we need to get going' he didn't move an inch.

'Chan? Come wake up' I shook him harder, but to no avail. I knelt down to hear if he was breathing. I was getting scared. With my face close to his, I jumped back when he responded.

'What are you doing?' he sat up and looked at me weirdly. His voice was raspy, and his hair was a mess and I couldn't hold back a smile.

'We need to get going now' I said simply standing up trying to play it off as nothing happened.

'Did you think I was dead?' he sat up running his hand through his hair looking at me.

'What makes you think that?' I couldn't look at him without being embarrassed. I don't even know why I felt this way, I had no reason to not think he wasn't dead if he didn't respond.

He didn't respond but I could tell he was letting me off easily and I appreciated that, because for some reason I still felt a bit awkward around him. We packed our stuff and continued on our journey. We walked the whole day and when the sun started to set, I saw my house. I stopped; I didn't know if I wanted to go inside. I didn't know what I would see.
