I do NOT own Fairy Tail, Hiro Mashima does. I also do not own any pictures I put on here. They all belong to their rightful owners.
Lucy was frustrated. She had read all the romance novels in the library, stalked couples at the park and even bought a lacrima TV to watch corny love movies. But now all she has is an empty wallet and no answers. "There goes all my rent money." Lucy gulped as she thought of the last option. A final resort, a very embarrassing final resort. Lucy swallowed her pride and walked to the Fairy Tail Guild Hall.
Lucy looked around and spotted who she was looking for. But of course they were with her. Levy McGarden spotted Lucy and waved her over. "Hey Lucy." Lucy smiled and sat down next to her. Mirajane, Cana, and Erza. The 3 people Lucy did not want to see sat opposite of the two wizards.
They had always messed with Lucy about Natsu even before she developed feelings for him. Now how would they react when she told asked them to help her confess? Lucy shivered at the thought. Endless teasing for the rest of her life. Imagine when she walked down the aisle with Natsu, they would snicker and tell all her guests about the embarrassing moments she had with the pink haired wizard. Lucy turned red. 'Walk down the aisle with Natsu? Why would I think that?!' Lucy slumped her head on the table. 'Bad Lucy! Bad, bad Lucy!'
"Lucy, are you okay?" Erza's voice asked the blonde. "Yep! I'm great." Lucy raised her head slightly and rested her chin on the table. Erza munched on her cake with a look of pure bliss. The expression disappeared when she saw Lucy's face, sadness and agony painted all over. "Did you get kicked out of your apartment?" Levy asked. "Pft, I think I know what's going on." Cana smirked at Lucy. Lucy nervously answered, "I have no idea what you're talking about." Cana snorted. "Don't think you're slick. I see those looks you give Natsu nowadays." she took a swig of her bottle of alcohol. The girls look at Lucy in shock. "Really?" Levy asked her best friend. Lucy glared at the brown haired alcoholic, then mumbled a barely audible, "Yes."
Erza stood up quickly, nearly dropping her cake, but she didn't seem to care. 'Uh oh, if that doesn't bother her, she must be very excited.' Lucy worriedly thought."It's about time!" Erza said, stars in her eyes as she clasped Lucy's hands. "Natsu and Lucy, sittin' in a tree-" Levy yelped as Lucy covered her mouth with her hand. "Shush! Do you want the whole town to hear?" Mirajane giggled. "I knew it was going to happen, you two are so cute together." Lucy blushed and remembered the reason she was here. "See, I need your help to... you know," Lucy gazed down, suddenly interested in the floor. "To confess."
All hell broke loose. Lucy still remembers the greedy looks on their faces. Of course they had said yes. They even told Juvia, who was over the moon about it, claiming that now she didn't have to worry about the blonde mage trying to "steal" Gray.
"You sure this is going to work." The five mages gave her a thumbs up. Lucy walked towards the table Natsu was in. Lucy's heart pounded and she tried to recite the words the girls gave her. 'Hey Natsu, can I talk to you for a moment.' Lucy walked a little faster, only noticeable to her. 'There's something I'd like to tell you, privately.' Lucy's heart slowed down. 'I've been thinking about this moment for days, and now I can't take it anymore.' Lucy straightened her new dress Mirajane had bought for this very occasion (Picture above). How she knew Lucy's size was a mystery. Lucy smiled. 'Natsu...' She got closer. "I love you!"
Lucy's heart stopped for a moment. The five mages in the back were in shock. For the woman who actually confessed to Natsu was not Lucy, but Lisanna Strauss. "Natsu, ever since you joined, I was happier than I had ever been. And when I thought I would never see you again, I was devastated. But now, I'm back, and I'm not about to pass up this moment. Will you go out with me?" silence filled the guild. Mirajane watched with mixed feelings. She forgot about one complication, Lisanna. She also loved Natsu. But now as she thought about it, didn't she tell her last night about confessing. Mirajane felt so stupid, no, she was stupid, if only she had listened instead of absently nodding and going back to magazines for a dress to give to Lucy. "I- I would love to go out with you." the very words Lucy wanted to hear from his mouth, but to her, not the white haired wizard. Cheers erupted. Lisanna squealed and hugged Natsu, then she turned to Lucy. "You hear that Lucy? He accepted!" Lisanna looked so happy, Lucy couldn't be angry. "Yeah..." Lucy turned to the doors. "I... have to go."
"Lucy?" Lisanna called as Lucy ran out the doors, everyone but the people who helped Lucy to prepare for her confession were oblivious to Lucy's anger and pain.
Lucy had prepared herself for this moment, but why did it have to hurt so much?
