by 11:30, the food had already been consumed and they were all just there finishing the remainder of the cake. both songjun and hongjoong never came back to the table, and it meant that eunseo never had to worry, fret or fear over the mysterious person.

suddenly, it sounded like jamie was telling us to pick up the phone.

eunseo immediately picked up, and heared the sounds of what can either be a cry for help, or someone laughing.

"speak to me."

she answered, immediately knowing who it was and what was happening in the background.

"okay, so basically i was supposed to warn you, but i know that you already saw him, so i'm calling to make sure you're alright?"

"you knew he was here? how did you know he was here?"

"ateez had just left inkigayo, like about five minutes before, or such, and he walked afterwards, and gave me the creepiest smile, then walked away. i wanted to tell you right away, kid, but you know how busy promotions get."

eunseo sighed, before getting up from the table and walking away from it, causing jeongin to immediately stand up, as well, but felix held him back and told him to stay put. kendrick doing the same to reina once she got up out of pure anxiousness, fearing that she'd run into songjun.

"he didn't even say anything to you? why?"

"okay, but don't get mad at me when i tell you this, i did this because i care about you so much, i only wanted what was best for you, but i didn't think the whole thing through, because at the time he was still a minor and justㅡ"

"spill it out will you? you're making me nervous."

"i got some of my friends from jeju to beat him up."

eunseo then gasped. seungkwan, the kind, loveable, respectable, and most caring person he knew, got someone to do something out of his normal facade?

"you know that my uncle knows people in the saints, and a couple of their sons know songjun, and i know you don't know this, but songjun and hongjoong are half brothers. both related to their mom, but they have different fathers, and songjun's father is the leader of the scorpions."

"the saints and the scorpions have been at war for almost two decades now."

"yes, and that's why when i found out what he did to you, knowing what i knew, i sent people my age to beat him up."

"seungkwan that's not cool, he was twelve for crying out loud."

"and he still makes you stiffen at the sound of his name eunseo! i know you had encounters with him after you moved. i know what he did to you, and i was not going to let him get away with it. whether he was seven, twelve, sixteen or forty four, it isn't justifiable for you to be treated that way and so anxious, shaken up and scared about what he did, and he could get away with it! i am not standing for it."

"how did you know we had more encounters?"

eunseo suddenly asked, quite scared to be honest, than anything else. she didn't tell a soul about it, not a single person, not even reina, and what he did to her, she didn't even want to think about, but they were twelve for crying out loud! when she was in jeju of course.

"he and hongjoong were talking about it in the corridor today, and hongjoong got really mad at him about it, which was probably why they left without him. kid, don't be mad at me. he deserved it for what he did."

"i............i'm not mad, but that doesn't change the fact that he didn't deserve it. no matter what he did to me, he didn't deserve to be beaten like that, what if they killed him? and you're an alibi to it seung, you could go to jail for it, or worse the scorpions could know. you shouldn't have that. thank you for helping, but you shouldn't have, i am quite disappointed."

(ummmmm, okay, i wanna cliffhanger y'all, but 'm not gonna cause i left y'all deprived for too long and this day needs to end already it's been 10 chapters)

seungkwan started to apologize about it a bit, and tried to defend himself, but all of it was drowned out once she locked eyes with him. thankfully it wasn't songjun, but the fact that he was there made it feel as if the brother wasn't far from there either.

"eung! how are you? thank you for easing our nerves for the interview, the guys all said that they appreciated it, but i can't help, but wonder. was there a reason why you declined our invite to dinner? the boys were all sad that you did, including wooyoung, he wanted to be really good friends with you."

"i had a previous engagement with my best friend, and when i called to cancel, she told me that i couldn't get out of it, i'm sorry."

hongjoong smiled, analyzing her to see if she was lying, but there wasn't and he made the smile genuine.

he then looked at the phone that was now lit up, a glimpse of her wallpaper in sight, where her face seemed nuzzled in the boy's neck and they both smiled, but the part that showed the boy was what was pressed against her cheek. he suddenly wanted to know who the boys was, but decided to press against it.

"well, how about this? tomorrow evening, we're not going to have that much interviews after our pre-recording. just a radio show and we're done for the day. would you mind coming with us for a bite to eat? or does your best friend have plans with you tomorrow as well?"

he asked, ending it off in a teasing tone, chuckling lightly as the finishing touches.

as much as eunseo wanted to refuse and get out of the situation, she knew, that he knew, that she knows songjun is in town, and refusing would make it suspicious, so she agreed.

"i'd love to. let's exchange kkt and you can text me when you guys are finished, so i can come and meet you all."

and they exchanged phones, hongjoong looking at the picture closely, and therefore finding the answer to his curiosity. he added what he needed to into her phone, and handed it back to her, then they shared smiles, and an awkward hug. and just like that hongjoong was gone.

he wanted to tell her that he was going to force songjun to apologize to her, but even he didn't know the fill extent of the story, and he didn't want her to feel or hear some half assed apology from someone who didn't mean it in the slightest. he shook his head, and muttered to himself a few words, before walking back to the table and grabbing his stuff, telling the staff that he paid.

eunseo then travelled back to the table, sitting down carefully and immersing herself in whatever part of the story, that jackson was telling, content. she knew that reina was looking at her, wondering what was talked about, why she took so long, and what happened, but as of now, she didn't want to speak about any of it. she just wanted to be in jeongin's arms and forget about it all, but she knew, that being in his arms, meant talking about the whole ordeal.

and that made her want this day to end sooner than ever before.
