"wait, so you're telling me, chaeryeong was giving my man heart eyes?"

"okay, way to be possessive eungie."

"shut up yangie, you're worse than me. remember when jisung park called me cute?"

(ji really be making all the skz boys jealous lol)

"you said we weren't gonna bring that up anymore."

jeongin whined, placing a few chips in his mouth as they snacked and talked playfully. jeongin goes to laugh when eunseo does, and they both smile at each other, before his eyes softened and he motions for her to come closer.

she obliges immediately, sitting cross legged on the side of him as he wraps his arm around her waist, snuggling up to her with his head leaning on top of hers. she smiles sadly, mostly to herself at the thought of what she wanted to say, and she knew that she had to tell someone, something. she just didn't know what they'll think, what they'll say, how they'll act. and she was so scared of the thought of jeongin hitting her ex, that she began to shake a bit in her arms.

"eungie? are you okay? is it too cold? i'll turn the air conditioner off if you want me to."

eunseo stopped shaking, and looked at her boyfriend, before resting her head on his chest, closing her eyes, to stop the tears from trying to make their escape. she needed to talk to someone about this. and she needed to say at least a bit to him. they've been dating for three years already, all he knew was that she had an ex boyfriend that made her feel like shit, just like everyone else did.

the only person who knew even remotely close to the entire story, was seungkwan, and there were parts that even he didn't know. she just doesn't know how much she'll be able to tell him before she starts shaking once again. every time she talked about it, she relived each moment, it was like everything comes back.

the pain.

the tears.

the suffering.

the trauma.

the screams.

the laughter.

the burns.

the slices.

it would just, feel as if it was there once again and she would scream, and cry all over again, just like she did for the past eight fucking years. she was tired of it, and she needed help, but how can she get help when she can't even explain what she needed help with?

"so, you know my ex boyfriend, songjun?"

she finally says after a while, and his entire body stiffens, the rage in his body almost overtook him, before he realized, that he shouldn't be angry, he should just listen. he lets out a hum of acknowledgment, of agreement, to let her know that she can continue.

"he was the last person i dated before i dated you. it was weird to think of it as even a relationship, you know. we were both 11 and 12 years old, but i thought that we were in love. he would always help me with my homework, and make sure i caught on with everything since we were both the youngest in 8th grade. and then one day, he got into a fight."

jeongin stayed there, eating some more chips with his free hand, quite intrigued to hear the story, because all he knew about the songjun kid was that he was her ex and he made her feel like shit, and that hearing chris finally debuting helped her in many ways. he just wasn't prepared for what he was going to hear.

"it was weird to hear him get in anything physical, and even all the more weirder because he had just came back to school after missing an entire week because he was sick. i wanted to see him so bad, but every time i went to his grandmother's house, she would say he'll get better soon, or that he was with his dad by the house and she would never give me the address. it never added to me. after the fight, he was sent to the office, and he go suspended for a week. it made me sad. he just came back from being sick and he was put for another week. even after the week had been up, he didn't return. then he came, about a month later, his black hair dyed a striking platnium blond, and he had a piercing in his ears that everyone demanded him to take out. never once did he listened. he had changed. skipping classes, skipping school, and he never acknowledged me once whenever he did come."

jeongin sat up a bit, pulling her up with him, and sat there for a while, before he ultimately decided to use both his arms to lift her into his lap, her head remained in its place, and she continued to tell him, no matter how much she wanted to cry, or shake, because she can feel the air shifting for the recreation of the first hit.

"i had had enough of him ignoring me, so i caught him in a time where he didn't even notice me. he was at the playground, sitting on the top of the slide, some other, older boys down at the bottom, running the little children from it, and i watched as the little kids ran in fear. i walked to the back, by the stairway, and got all the way to the top, tapping him on the shoulder, and he turned his attention to me. his eyes weren't the same anymore, the way it went from the pure glint to dark and menacing. and he kissed his teeth before turning back around. i shoved his shoulder back for him to look back at me as i asked him what was wrong and he......he punched me in the gut."

eunseo felt the wind throw into her stomach like it happened all over again, hand immediately going to her stomach as she clenched in pain, not knowing what to do, and she felt the fear she had almost eight years ago begin to resurface. jeongin, knew he was angry, but the way he felt her start to shake, made it evaporate, and he tried to calm her down.

"you don't have to say anymore if you don't want to."

"i want to tell you everything, but every time i speak about it, i feel the pain all over again, and i really don't want to go back. i don't want to feel that way again, please jeongin don't slap me when i disagree with you. don't kick me when i tease you. don't choke me when i yell at youㅡ"

"woah, woah woah, eunseo what the fuck? he did that to you? and you think i'm going to do that to you? we've been together for three fucking years. i only want the best for you, and want to see you succeed, so when we succeed together i can finally marry you girl. don't ever think i'm like that toxic, sadistic, evil piece of fuck you call an ex. why was he even doing something like that to begin with? where the fuck did he learn that from? i hope you being in jeju was the last time he did something to you cause if he did any more i willㅡ"

"no, no, yangie, jeju was the last time. it-it was the last time i heard of him until now. he said he wanted to apologize, but i got so scared that i drove off. i was so scared that he was going to hurt me again after all these years."

eunseo knew that lying about this would only make jeongin more livid when he finds out, but the way he's calming down and soaking every word she says makes it feel okay for her. she didn't want him to ruin his reputation for her by beating the guy to a pulp, and she didn't want to know the consequences after the scorpions find out what happen to the hier to their throw while he's in seoul.

so for now, she wants him to talk about the tour, and the sudden lift, anything to make jeongin happy, and her stop shaking.
