The Plan

We were still shocked at the outcome of everything. The whole month had gone by so fast. First we had discovered it, a massive bunker underground. It was easily a mile in size and was filled with the strangest, almost alien things we had ever seen. It seemed like it was a site for experimental weapons research, but who funded it? Many of us theorized about the Pentagon, FBI, or the CIA. Inside, we found plasma weapons and massive robots. As much as we had worked on our old one, it seemed that this was our new home. It was getting to be dinner time soon, so I should go the the underground farms and help out. 3 hours later, it was time to show the new plan. With the resources provided, we could create unmanned drones to attack the city. While distracted, we could send in our men to save some people. Uc'thabbir could be negotiated with, we had to try.

The next day.....

Swoosh, our planes sped and glided across the murky swamplands, we were closing in on him. Shixhi the second gatekeeper, if we could take him out quickly, we could sneak in the city and free as many people as possible. This wouldn't be easy though. Uc'thabbir would notice, so we had to have an advanced plan. If he saw that we were trying to get at Vazatoth and Cthulhu, he might join us. But, if he saw that we were actually freeing people, he would not be happy. He would be willing to let us attack the Old Ones as long as he thought it was to get to Vazatoth, and once we could actually get to him, Uc'thabbir would help us. I locked in my sights on Shixhi, the molten menace that only enjoys others pain. With my missiles on lock, I hit the button. It was then when I noticed the 20 other planes also firing off their missiles. We were the distraction, our missiles were EMP and would stun him, long enough for our titan mech to come in. Huge explosions echoed off from the points of impact. Shixhi, stunned, staggered across the area laying waste to all life his lava poured onto. We had to make sure our planes and titan mech had an outer layer of tungsten, just above the maximum temperature he could get to in a normal attack. We would have to watch out for his charged attacks. Salvo after salvo, he could only get short attacks off, which left us mostly unaffected. Then we heard it, the titan mech. This mech was armed with 7 layers of tungsten supported with titanium. It had four giant hydraulic fists with the power to output 1000 newtons of force. The titan mech smashed into the monster with all of his momentum. They crashed to the floor, our mech hitting devastating blow after devastating blow. It was clear who the victors would be, so we sent in the ground troops to rescue the people of this district. I ready up to fire off my next salvo, and BOOM. I woke up in the rubble and wreckage of my plane. I my vision was foggy, and I could only see the red of the fire. I find the strength to get up, only to see multiple other planes also crashed. Our titan mech lay on the ground, the monster pounding and spewing fire at it. I had to do something. I remembered that all of our planes come equipped with plasma rifles. I searched the wreckage, lifting up any piece of metal I could. I had eventually found it. I lifted up the barrel and looked through the sights, I clocked in on its molten eye and fired. It staggered back, giving our mech enough time to get up again. I saw the massive hole in the wall that my plane had caused, this was the perfect way for the people to escape. With my injured leg, I stumbled inside the city. Chaos had broken out. The spawn of Cthulhu (Hound like mutant wolfs) were attacking all who came near. Among the chaos of people and monsters, I saw Cassie. The spawn were closing in on her, she backed up, but didn't see the hound coming from behind. "Cassie, look out!" I shouted. She turned her head to me, she was shocked and in disbelief that I was there. I myself was shocked. I fired my weapon at the hounds, she found a weapon on the ground. I could tell her military training was kicking in, as she could aim and fire quickly and accurately. "Come on Mike, we have to get out of here" The squadron leader said. We all rushed to the exit, Cassie following as fast as she could. Just as we all got out, we saw the new gatekeeper, Uc'thabbir. His green, violent eyes stared us down. Laughing, he stuck out his hand, Grabbing and reaching for us. Thats when I saw the silver gleam of tungsten approaching from behind. Using the dead gatekeeper against the new one, the titan mech was able to damage Uc'thabbir significantly. We could see his weakness. Even this, was not enough, as the monster used its telekinetic abilities to rip out the inner workings of the mech. With the sacrifice of the mech, we were able to escape. This war would be bigger than we thought. I embraced Cassie as we watched the city go in flames. It would take the cult a while to fix this loss.
