CHAPTER 12: Argument To Regret

Bakugou's POV:

Deku was looking down with his hands gripping the sides of his head.

"Hey nerd what the hell was up with that dream?"

He looks up at me with red puffy eyes from crying.

"Kacchan I'm sorry I wasn't in control."

"What kind of excuse is that!? You don't want my help. You just want to-!"

"It's not like that at all Kacchan! I actually love and care about you but Shigaraki wants me to devour your soul. I can't stop the demon from taking over."

"Shut up. You're a monster and that's all you'll ever be to me. You got that Deku!?"

Deku doesn't respond back which pisses me off more. He looks down again. So I kick him off the bench.

"Come on Deku what's wrong? You were talkative a moment ago. So whats changed?"

I take my foot off Deku's side and turn away from him.

"I'll take your silence as you admitting I was right."

As I started to walk away. Deku wraps his arms around me and puts his face against my back. As if he was trying to tell me to stay. So I swong my right arm and backhanded Deku on the side of his face. As I was turning around to face Deku again. I said something out of pure rage.

"GO TO HELL DEKU!"

When those words came out of my mouth. Deku looks me in the eyes and I could see the hope in his eyes disappear. Then I noticed that the parasitic lines that came from his choker were over his mouth so he couldn't speak to me. The lines then start to spread down his arms and on his hands.

"What the fuck is going on? Deku talk to me!"

The lines on his mouth disappear and Deku says.

"We are bound by vocal commands. The only reason we woke up from that nightmare was because you didn't beg for me to wake up. You told me to. Now you've ordered me to go back to hell. So this is goodbye Kacchan."

"Deku I didn't know. Don't lea-"

Before I could finish the order to stay. Deku had taken off the bracelet and was turning into a white flame.

"I love you Kacchan and I'm sorry for everything. Don't worry I'll save you from the demon inside of me no matter what the cost."

I reach out to hug Deku but before I could close my arms around him. He was gone. Then an image of the lake of fire appears in my head.

"No no NOOO! THERE'S GOTTA BE ANOTHER WAY!"

I remembered what the book said about if I was to put on the bracelet. So I started looking everywhere for it in a panic state of mind. When I finally found it. The diamond shaped vial was broken and the liquid wasn't smoking like it should've. The only piece of the vial that was still attached to the bracelet was in the shape of a cracked heart. The site of this caused me to breakdown and cry. In my mind I was hesitating to put it on because I feared that it was a trap. So I wiped my tears away and went home with the bracelet in my pocket.
