CHAPTER 28: Memories Shared

Dabi's POV:

"So are you ready to fight me for real now hawks?!"

"Touya I know you're still in there. I know you better then anyone else. Don't let the demon have anymore power over you."

"Nice try but he's been locked away for years."

"Fine then I guess it's time for plan B."

I kick hawks off of me and stand up. Once I was on my feet again. Hawks puts his goggles on and lifts his wings. He shoots wave after wave of feathers at me and even controls the flying once to chase me. This makes it nearly impossible to get to him because everytime I shoot a blast at him. His wings take the hit. After awhile I see that he's not Regenerating more feathers. His wings are so huge that after five whole minutes of burning them away. It barely puts a dint in them. Right as I was starting to get exhausted. I noticed the feathers I had burned weren't ashes, but that they had broken apart into tiny pieces. My vision starts to blur and the sounds of children laughing fills my mind. The flashbacks of Touya and Keigo's memories fill my head like a roll of film for a movie.

FLASHBACK:

Touya runs out the back door and into the forest behind his house after finding out that his mom burned Shoto's face and endever sent her away. While running through the forest. He sees a clearing up ahead. In the clearing was a huge field with a creek running down the middle. On the other side looked to be a kid with black hair sitting by the water. Touya approaches the boy.

"Who are you?"

"It's not polite to ask someone their name without telling them yours first."

"Oh I'm sorry. Hi my name is Touya nice to meet you umm?"

"Tomura Shigaraki, but you are call me Shigaraki if you want. "

"Okay Shigaraki. why are you here on my family's land?"

"I live just beyond the trees on the other side of this field."

"Oh okay. Well do you want to play together?"

"I'm not interested in burning to death by a kid who can't control his quirk. "

"Wait how did you-?"

Shigaraki vanishes and pops up behind Touya.

"I can tell by the burns on your body that you don't know how to use your quirk. Come with me and I'll teach you how."

"No thanks I've got a friend that's helping me train."

"Well if you think he can help then fine, but if you hurt him. He'll see you as nothing but a monster and run away just like everyone else you get close to."

"You're wrong! Keigo isn't like everyone else!"

"If you're so sure then bring him here and prove me wrong."

"Fine you'll see! I'll bring him here tomorrow for training!"

THE NEXT DAY:

Touya sees Shigaraki peeking while masking his presence in the shadows of the trees. Touya goes to shoot the target on Keigo, but right before he takes the shot. His mind worries about what if Shigaraki is right? Then Touya imagines Keigo walking away and never talking to him again. Even starts to bully him. Touya snaps out of it when he hears Keigo scream in pain. Then Keigo falls in the creek and the flames are put out. When Keigo looks up at Touya. The only thought going through touya's mind is.

*Oh no he was right. I am a monster! *

Touya runs to Shigaraki and opens the door to his house. Little did he know it was the gate to hell. Once there Shigaraki gave Touya an apple from a tree growing from the lake of fire. After eating the apple. His body starts getting consumed by his own flames as a demon takes on his form. Locking touya's soul in the mind of the demon named Dabi.

While Dabi has touya's body. Keigo looks everywhere for him. Saving countless lives and interrogating villains in order to find clues. One day Shigaraki approaches Keigo with just enough information to keep him close by for jobs that other villains and demons wouldn't do. Shigaraki knew how desperate Keigo was to find his childhood friend and crush. So he used that to his advantage.

*FLASHBACK ENDS*

Dabi's POV:

I can see both of our memories collide

"Stop! These aren't my memories!"

"Your right they belong to my friend. If you won't let him go. Then I'll force you out of him."

The memories of Shoto were the ones that broke the chains off Touya and he gained control again.

"Keigo you did it. I'm free."

Keigo runs up and hugs me tight as tears fall like heavy rain down his cheeks.
