Hours dragged by.
You were going stir crazy in that room with nothing else to do but stare at the ceiling. How were you seriously expected to lay here for weeks until that stupid leg healed? There wasn’t even a t.v. in this room!
The sun had long set at this point, and somewhere under the floorboards, you could make out contagious laughter from the boys while a few shouts here and there followed. They were obviously enjoying themselves in whatever it is they must have been doing.
A bitter smile crept over your features hearing their infectious chuckles before you snapped out of it and shook it away. Palming your cheeks to try and wake up your rational self.
You were still somewhat mad at the circumstances, and the stupidity at such choices given to you, but your mind could not settle.
It raced with thoughts and anxiety.
Without warning, the door slowly creaked open with a sliver of light flooding the room from the hallway making you cease in all movement.
“Are you awake,” he whispered, never moving from the door until he heard you hum in response.
Taking that as an invitation to enter, he flicked on the light, momentarily blinding you.
While rubbing your eyes, you could only hear his approach, then the setting of something on the nightstand as you tried to hastily return your stolen vision. Delicious smells filled the room, making you groan in hunger. When you finally looked over, you found Jungkook fixing a plate for you before he straightened and nervously scratched at the nape of his neck.
“Dinner,” he shyly explained while lowering his muscular frame onto the bed to get comfortable.
“Ah.. thanks.” Was all you could muster, forgetting how to speak properly by the way he was gazing at you.
At that moment, your eyes couldn’t turn away, making you slightly panic.
So when he reached for your hand, your body froze, blood running ice cold.
He brought your knuckles to his mouth only to brush them against his lips, never quite kissing your hand, but just enough that you could feel how soft and kissable his lips were; making you almost squirm. His breath was hot against your skin, washing over it like a blanket before he drug those lips agonizingly slow down your middle finger, stopping to turn your hand in his so your fingertips could press to his mouth.
Only then, did he ever so lightly peck your fingertips, pulling away all at once leaving you stunned and a little bit amazed. The kiss still burning on your skin left in the wake of his presence.
“Goodnight,” the brunette casually added in a sultry voice while standing to exit.
Your mouth was too clamped shut from shock to respond though.
Leaving the light on but shutting the door from the noises carrying in the loud house, you watched him exit the room in complete silence.
“What… the hell was that?”
Touching your chest, you tried to calm your racing heart before fanning your beet-red face and licking your now dry lips in an attempt to distract yourself. If he was trying to cheat in getting you to choose him, he was doing one hell of a good damn job.
‘ Wait, why am I even humoring that idea! There is no way I’m choosing anyone because I’m out of here once I’m able to run… get a grip on yourself, Y/N. ’
Reaching for your food, you eyed the steak and vegetables. Surprised that you barely needed the knife to cut into the tantalizing meat by how tender it was prepared.
