Their story {Spinel x Reader} (ON HOLD)

Chapter 1

You wake up with a sigh, and the uncomfortable birds nest you call your hair on your pillow. You drag your ass out of bed, take a quick shower, clean up and start the day off. Having a piece of toast for breakfast, you check your phone. You have only 3 notifications, they're all in your contacts. The first one was from your father. Or Greg Universe, he's not your actual father but you like to see him as one. It was nothing too special, he's just telling you to prepare for the concert later and that he loves you. He does that often. TOO often.                                                      

"Uuuuugh, dad... I love you too." You say under your breath and in the text. The two others are from Steven! "Oh!" You say in surprise. You read his text and reply:

Steven: Hey, Y/n!                                                                                                        Steven: Are you awake? Are you still in bed?? 😕

Y/n: Heh, no. I just woke up, thx to ur texts. 

Steven: Oh, I'm sorry! Should I tell you later?

Y/n: Ah, it alright don't feel bad m8, and tell me what???

Steven: Connie is taking her trip to space camp AND little Homeworld is and I quote from Peridot, "Little Homeworld is 83.7% complete!" & we were hoping you could come over and celebrate!!

Y/n: Okay okay, firsts off Tell Connie to stay there, I want to say bye           >﹏<!!!!! Second: Neeeeeeeerrrrrddd, but important, thank you! And third: I'LL BE RIGHT THERE!! (u can expect me in like 5 min)

You rush to put on a decent outfit. You can't choose whether to wear a dress or something casual... Screw it, you just split the middle man. You put on (y/o). (It means your/outfit)

Leaving your home for the day, you lock up and start walking down the boardwalk past Funland. You begin to think of the first time you met Steven and the Crystal Gems, ya know the guardians of the planet? They were single-handedly the most interesting and wonderful group of people you have ever met in your lifetime. You moved to Beach city about 2 years ago, when Steven was only fourteen years old and dealing with, and you're not joking on this part, Giant intergalactic Space dictator ladies that owned most of the cosmos. 

But surprisingly he was related to them, on his mothers' side, and pretty much saved Earth and all life across the furthest reaches of space from the Diamonds tyranny, and maybe saved more than just his happily ever after. But lost in you thought, you found yourself just outside Steven's home. "Huh, well the best moments are always the short ones! But I'm not complainin'!" 

You knock on the front door, there's no answer. You knock again, nothing. You figure they are just on the hillside, takin' a good nap. They deserve it after what they fought through, to get where they are now. You always want to feel happy for them. You redirect yourself to them like Google Maps directs you to the nearest Subway(not the train kind lol). 

Making your way up the ridiculously large hill, you wave to them out of breath. They wave back. "Hey, girl! Where have ya been?" Amethyst shouts tauntingly. "Lookin' for you guys, seriously give me a heads up the next time you randomly decide to climb a giant hill!" You joke back. Finally, at the summit, you say "So, what's going on? Where's Connie?" Steven slightly embarrassed says "Yeeaahh, she already left, but she says Hi!" You say dejected "Oh... that's fine..." Pearl finally beginning to speak, "Oh, Y/n, It'll be alri-" 

"But I'm gonna be the first person she sees when she gets back!" You enthusiastically challenged Pearl. You boop her nose with fair ease. And she hates it when you do that. 

Not a moment after Garnet, Amethyst, Steven, and Yourself just start giggling like a bunch of schoolgirls about the latest drama. All Except Pearl who is now saltier than usual, because of you booping her snoot. Everyone gasps for air trying to get their shit together, "AHAHAhaha, ahh oh I'm sorry Pearl, but I just had to." She turns her head away in a small fit of saltiness. You flop down onto the grass and just lay back. Hands behind head, knee propped on top the other and all. They all sigh happily. 

You all felt like nothing could go wrong. Steven says, "I want everything to stay exactly like this and never change!" Earning an "Agreed." from Pearl, a "Here, here!" from Amethyst and a "You said it!" from you. Steven soon asks Garnet about the future, but you couldn't care less. You just kept thinking to yourself, Yep! I think its safe to say that from here on out nothing bad is. Ever. Going. To happen. Aaaaaaaaaagai- Your thoughts are quickly interrupted when you hear Garnet say a simple, "No."
