Nothing Moves Me

As I enter the point of no return
Circling around the moon
Apprehension grabs at my centerman
A hold on intention to control and
Nothing moves him

Burning cities lay behind his stare
Beliefs of false pretentiousness
Predictions of the rapture to soon
You want what you can't have and
Nothing moves him

Your thoughts want you dead and alive
A friendly reminder of the bond once shared
Dancing in humor the two of you
As you sleep with a knife at your throat and
Nothing moves him

There is a captive at this end
Filtering through holes on this vessel
Bottomless pits of anguish and pain
Devoured by tradition and
Nothing moves him

Save me from myself
Multiple attempts to protect the weak
An illusion of peace is just too far of a leap
Nothing is real just a fantasy to me and
Nothing moves him

Now I am still, looking up
Patiently waiting for inspiration

Nothing moves me...
