Janai announced the human king's arrival to her prisoner, and told of how he failed the trial.
Amaya stood in shock, and Kazi translated. "That man is no king." She explained further of his evil history, but Janai shrugged her off.
Just as Janai turned, Amaya grabbed her arm to stop her. Janai harshly shrugged the gentle hands away, but they soon began signing warnings.
"He must be stopped."
. . .
Janai led Amaya to her armor, sword, and shield which she quickly made use of.
Both ran to the bright light of purification, Amaya's warning still burning Janai's skin. Janai halted Kazi, as it was too dangerous for them.
Janai turned her attention to the light once more, but gasped as she witnessed the eclipse of dark magic. They ran faster, feet pelting the ground to protect the innocents from the dark mage.
Then Janai saw it. The cold blue figure, hardly visible from so far above. Her sister clung to the figure, and Janai ran harder to make an attempt at saving her. Sparks flew, and Janai's sister fell in a soft blaze from the tower.
Janai, blinded by grief and anger, growled and let the blaze of fury consume her. She needed revenge.
Then, Janai was tackled to the ground, still growling, she turned to see who held her down. Amaya, grabbed Janai's hand, despite the pain it clearly caused her.
Janai looked desperately into the woman's eyes, but she looked down in deep sorrow. Janai cooled, but screamed for her sister, and Amaya comforted her patiently.
. . .
Janai awoke in Amaya's tight arms, her face still tear stained. The elf pulled away, letting out another cry as the grief struck her again. Amaya pulled the Knight in, embracing her tightly.
Amaya cautiously wiped the tears from Janai's face before pulling a small book and pencil from her side.
Janai read as Amaya wrote: 'I don't want to be your enemy. We will avenge your sister. Trust me when I say that I know what you are feeling, even if that isn't what you want to believe. I am here for you.'Janai sobbed for the last time, writing quickly in the book to respond: 'Let's get ready."
