"Doctor, how is my grandma's condition?" I asked her directly without being eager as this is not something small.

Seeing me in this kind of situation, the doctor tried her best to explain. "She fainted because she was having low blood pressure."

I nodded slowly as I revert my eyes to look at grandma's calm face, laying on the hospital's bed. Controlling my emotion was too much for me, however I need to be strong for her.

"But..." The doctor seems a little bit worried, just by seeing her face I could tell it.

"But?" I was curious, as I try to push away my unwanted thoughts that were lingering in my messy mind.

The doctor sighed slightly as she tucked her hands into the coat pockets. "But after that, we discover that your grandma are diagnosed with cardiovascular disease."

I was stunned. Every single word, I swallowed it with a pain. "Do you mean heart issues?"

She nodded. At that moment, my legs weaken, letting me fell down helplessly. I was hopeless. After this, I don't know how I'm supposed to continue my life. What if grandma leave m-m..ee

'Don't be ridiculous. Grandma will be fine.

"Doctor, is my grandma's condition is at it peak?"

"Well she doesn't reach that stage yet but if we didn't take immediate action, her live will be at risk. In order to cure her illness, we recommend her to undergo a surgery."

"Surgery? Will it fully save her?"

"I couldn't guarantee you hundred percent but most of our patient are being saved with the surgery."

"Aaa... how much does it cost?"

"Approximately 60 million won"

"6-60 million won?!"

I sighed as I lean my back onto the wall. Remembering about the conversation just now, it just add more headaches. But no matter what, I'll try my best to get those money. Grandma must be healthy again.

Day after day passed. Finally I found myself a part time job. Being a coffee maker is not bad actually. The salary given is not that big but I was satisfied with that. In order to get paid much more, I just need to work extra shift. It was tiring but nothing can stop me from bringing back my healthy grandma.

Everyday, I work hardly so that I could get paid much more faster so that I could settle up my school fees first. Then, I could fully focus on working for grandma. Finally, my hard work for two weeks is paid off. The salary I received is enough for me to pay for my school fees.

That morning, I went to school without having that much burden on my shoulders anymore. Today it is lighter as I will be paying my school fees. During recess, I went to the teacher's office, just to meet Mr Han, granting my promise to pay for the school fees.

"Oh Miss Arie, you're here. Is there anything for you to meet me?" This time Mr Han asked, giving a total weird expression.

"Teacher, have you forgotten? Last time, I promised you to pay for the school fees within a month. And now, I'm here to fulfill my promise." I explain it one by one so that he could have some clue on it.

"Ooh. I think I forgot to tell you. Two days ago, someone just paid the school fees for you." He said, linking his both hands.

I was clueless. "Wait. Someone? May I know who?"

Mr Han giggled, "Well don't worry about that. That person was sincere to help you. Now you can focus on your studies, ok?"

"B-but..."

"Miss Arie, you might missed your class if you insist to know."

I let out a sighed, giving up and went straight to the class. But I was not at ease as I was heading to the class, I heard some girls were whispering.

"You know what, I heard that Jungkook paid for Arie's school fees as she didn't manage to settle it on time."

"Really? Wahh, she fooled us with her quiet attitude but turn out to be a gold digger."

The clique was whispering as they were going to tell the whole universe about their conversation. And surely I know that the topic was 'me'.

'Jungkook? Paid my school fees?'

Full of frustration, I walked past them only to meet Jungkook along the hallway. Our eyes met, knowing that there are something to be discuss. I step closer beside him but decided not to take a glance on his face.

"Jungkook, we need to talk." Then I quickly walk away, letting him to compute the situation by himself.

"I know it is my fault for not telling you at the first place. But I want to help you with your burden." Jungkook try to explaining it one by one.

I don't know how to say it but at that only moment, I could feel that there were bricks inside my heart as this time the burden becomes heavier.

"Do I look really poor to you?"

He rubbed his forehead, trying to avoid from spitting out any words.

"Oh I'm wrong. I am poor but am I that miserable for you?" Realising the reality of my life, I correct my words.

But still after several moments, there are no answer for those question.

"A-Answer me, p-please..." Only god knows how shattered my heart was at that time until I couldn't talk fluently. I don't know how to portray this feelings but I know it is painful. My dignity was scratched until I feel ashamed to face him.

My tears freely rolling down, as I forget how to control that. Noticing me crying, he was flustered.

"Arie..."

"That's it. Whatever it is whether I will be crashed by a car or drown in a deep ocean, I don't need your charity." I walked away as I left him alone, stunned.

After the word that I said to Jungkook , it would be the last one. From now on, we acts like strangers, avoiding each other. We live our own life by doing our thing separately like how we used to do before knowing each other. I'm back to my old self, avoiding people and be a loner. Sometimes Haru will accompany me but when she was busy as a club president, I'll be left alone.

Everyday, everything are the same. I wake up, attends school, finishes school, went straight to the coffee shop, finishes job, go home and sleep. Nothing special happen. All I know is, I need 35 million won more in order to bring grandma back to healthy. Seeing this slow progression, I decided to get multiple part time job so that I could get multiple salary.

Every weekend, I'll make sure to visit grandma, being part of her strength. It hurts to see her illness become worse. But still I manage to hid this torturing feeling and always put a smile on my face.

It was the day where I finally manage to collect money for grandma's surgery. Finally, I could feel peace again.It might seems impossible but actually it was easy. You just need to...starve yourself, skip recess and do various job.

That day, I was on my way to the hospital to pay for the surgery bill. I walk myself to the hospital as I don't want to spend to much on the expensive taxi ride. Everything was fine. I was near to the hospital and it only need me to cross the road to reach it.

'Grandma, you'll be healthy again. I promise you.'

"Pittt! Pittt! Pittttttt!!!"

At that moment I realised that I was to late to avoid it.

While crossing the road, I feel a strong impact on my body as I was hit by a car with a high speed. My head was bleeding like a river as it was spinning at it peak. The last thing that I could see before my view become completely dark was many people were running towards me, asking several question that I'm not capable to answer.

If only I be careful at that time, I know I wouldn't regret it later.
