Hello! Thank you for reading my story! I want to open with this is under intense editing and writing still, there are still so many things I want to add. If you have an idea or something you've been dying to read, I'd love to include it- just comment it. Thank you and enjoy!

I woke up to the three light taps of an owls beak at my window. The sound abruptly ending my dream, a nightmare really. A nightmare concerning the war raging around the world I had come to love and see as my own, the wizarding world.

I didn't dare look at myself in the mirror as I walked to my window. Knowing the sight that met me would contain unruly hair and a look of great disgust from being woken up so early. I unlatched my window and the great bird flew in happily, nipping at my fingers affectionately. From the dark maroon color of the envelope tied to his leg, I knew it was from Hogwarts. I quickly untied the envelope and sent the owl on its way. Absentmindedly, I scanned through the materials needed for the new year, when a small envelope caught my attention. It had been hidden within the larger envelope, tucked between the parchment. My hands shook nervously, I yearned for this to be a letter awarding me the position of Head Girl. I carefully opened the letter and only scanned to see if the words would reward me for my past six years of hard work. I had been working towards Head Girl before I even knew what the position meant.

Lily Evans ... Hogwarts... congratulations... Head Girl

With that, I squealed, resulting in a shout of bitter words from Petunia, my sister. I couldn't be upset by her with news as great as this. I ran downstairs to find my parents seated at the kitchen table, with tea in their hands. I squealed out the news, resulting in them both standing to hug me.

"We are so proud of you, everything you do has proven what an amazing woman you've become," my mother spoke with love and pride as she hugged me tighter. My father nodded along, obviously proud as well.

Any nervousness for my seventh year at Hogwarts had faded, I had the job I wanted, now all I had to do was find a way to get that James Potter git to leave me alone.

I laid in the sun happily day dreaming about the year I was envisioning; all of it surrounding a certain little redhead. I imagined how it would feel just for her to hold my hand, that was enough to make me happy for a lifetime. Every happy thought in my head vanished the moment something hit my head, hard. My eyes snapped open to see Sirius on the balcony above me, laughing hysterically. My eyes finally landed on what hit me, my Hogwarts letter.

I opened the letter, pouring the contents of it on the table next to me. The usual papers were a bore, easily haded off to my mum to handle. Only one thing caught my eye, a small crimson envelope. My mind raced through everything the school could've found out about to punish me for. My top three guesses were becoming animagus' illegally, having a map of the school tracking everyone, or Snivellus playing victim to something. I tore open the letter but the words on the page were not ones of punishment, they were words congratulating me... I was Head Boy.

The best part of all of this was that I was willing to bet my very best broom that Lily Evans was the Head Girl. I looked above me at Sirius and taunted him with my newfound authority.

"No way, mate. You are not Head Boy. Dumbledore is a crazy old bat, but he isn't that far gone yet," Sirius yelled down to me, as I threw the letter up. He quickly scanned the words on the page, while I found great pleasure in watching his jaw drop. But, just as quickly, a smile returned to his face, "Better make time for me after shagging Lily in the Heads dorms."

At that very moment, I remembered something very vital to understanding all of this Heads business. They get their own dorm. I get my own dorm to share with Lily Evans. The euphoria taking over my brain stopped me from even yelling back up to Sirius; scolding him for his crude comment.
