James
The week passed in a blur, my schedule barely giving me time to breathe. I had school all day, quidditch all afternoon, head duties all night, and Marauders every where else. I could clearly see that Lily was assigning me less work as a Head than herself, but I couldn't bring myself to ask for more. It was the first week and I was already begging for the weekend to come.
When Friday afternoon finally rolled around, I realized I was free until noon the next day. Just a night with my friends was exactly what I needed. I found Lily in our common room, cuddled up on the loveseat, her favorite spot. She was staring at the walls with a small frown on her face, "James, add your memories to the walls. It feels quite bare with just mine."
Naturally, I complied to her request bringing her three shoeboxes stuffed to the brim with photos and letters that I kept with me. We spent the next hour making the room our own, rather than simply Lily's work. I examined the photos that I had collected throughout the years, photos of the Marauders littering the ground around me as I stuck them to the wall. I had taken the photos and memories off of my old dorm's walls to add them to our new common room. The Marauders had agreed that destroying the wall was for the best. We were all trying to prepare ourselves for leaving Hogwarts and diminishing our connection with our dorm seemed like a good first step.
"Last thing!" Lily said, pulling out a camera. She faced it towards us and clicked. In seconds a small muggle photo of us was printing. She muttered an enlargement charm and put the photo at the center of the room above the fireplace, right where all could see it; cementing us as friends in muggle photo format.
When the rest of the Marauders came wandering in, me and Lily were already laughing on the loveseat with butter beers in our hands; our backs were to the armrests, her feet atop my own.
"Oi! Interrupting date night are we?" Sirius called from the entrance.
"Shut up you git, I have news all of you will be very interested to hear," these words piqued everyone's interest. I very rarely shut down Sirius' teasing. Everyone sat surrounding the center table, staring at me with wonder, "Dumbledore spoke to me a few days ago and presented me with an offer. He wanted us, all of us, to join an order he's forming against he who should not be named. So, are we in?"
Everyone paused for a moment before their different reactions came to light. Sirius smirked, Remus nodded, Peter bit his lip, and Lily glowed.
"I'm in," Sirius, Remus, and Lily said in unison, voices alive with excitement.
Now I turned to Peter, who had began to wring his hands, "Peter? Are you in?"
"Oh. Um. Of course I am, guys," he said nervously. I couldn't quite tell what was causing his anxiety, usually he followed us without a thought. He always had been the best friend because he supported you no matter the turn you took.
"Now Lily, do tell us how you're handling living with this absolute toerag," Sirius began, starting a long night of laughter and conversation.

Lily
I woke up to James slipping out from underneath me. I looked at my surroundings, trying to piece together what had happened. Me and the Marauders must have fallen asleep. Peter was in front of the fire, happily asleep. Sirius and Remus were on the couch, Sirius using Remus as a pillow. I was on the loveseat, my head had been on James like a pillow, "I'm sorry James, I was sleepy and didn't mean to fall asleep on you. I'm so sorry"
He petted my hair, shushing my apology and whispered about having to go to the quidditch pitch, "Lily, come to the game. Please?"
