Chapter 30

"Hey", I squealed as damon and kevin came inside.

"Hey, babe", he said, kissing my cheek and wrapping his arms arround me.

"Ewwwww, Get a room!", scoffs kate,Which was followed by all of us laughing.

"I have to get home damon", I whispered, while in his embrace.

He sighs, "can't you wait abit more longer", he pouts.
"alright babe, lets go".

We said our goodbyes to kate and kevin. And got in the car. The 10 minute drive was silent, just enjoying each other's presence.
"So will I see you tomore?", he asks while unclutching my seatbelt.

"I dont see why not", I say playfully, to risen up his down mood.

"Alright princess, Goodnight", he says and places a kiss on my forehead. My heart warmed up.

I walk towards the door and turn back to him to wave him bye. And then the car is out of sight.

I make my way inside the house, only to hear laughter and loud music. What the f— ...Dad?????

"Rose??",I ran towards him and engulfs in a hug, but something felt wrong, he doesnt return it, shaking up that wrong intuition I hug him anyways.

"When did you arrive and why didnt you call me"?, I question in excitement.

All this time, all this awaited time, I missed him so much, I missed my dad so much, it felt like forver.

"Uh- I arrived late in the evening rose, and I'll be going out with vanessa and her babies.

Just then I felt a sudden weight on my shoulders, "what about me dad?", I question, my eyes getting teary every passing second.

"I'm sure you have other things to do", he says while walking towards his room with his arm wrapped arround vanessa who is wearing a thong and lace which barely covered her body.

I walk the up the stairs, thoughts tripping me ovet and over. Why is dad like that? He never ignores me, what happend to him,  I need answers

I locked my room and stripped naked to get into a warm bath, coming out of the shower I put on some shorts and a tshirt feeling comfortable as ever.

I make my way downstairs, only to see them leaving out the door.
"Dad!", I called out, making my way to the door, he tilted his neck but returned again as if he didnt hear me, trying a second time as if my eyes betrayed on me. "Daddd!!!", I screamed, "why are you like this? Please dont do this", I say, now clutching his arm, not letting him move further.

He pushes me to the ground, "move girl, dont hang on me anymore, I should have let you die with your mother, with that being said, he returns to their conversation between vanessa and the girls, they get in his new car and drives off.

My mind goes completely blank, unable to process what just happend, who is that man? And what has he done to my dad. I cannot feel the pain, I cannot bring myself to cry, the pain is massive my heart just gave up on me. Am I that useless to the whole world, damon just flashes through my mind, am I worthy to be next to him. my life utterly useless.

I walk towards mom's room, staring at the beautiful dresses, shoes and all things she enjoyed having. My heart feels happy to he here but my lips fail to make me smile. I brushed my fingers across eveything but halted at a certain shoebox. Its wrapped in wood colour paper and is written "To my baby, rose".

Curiosity took the best of me, I opened it and saw a bunch of photos with me, dad and mom in it, my heart aches for this moment, I wanted that time machine where I can go back in time and freeze there never comimg into the future. I gaze upon and I notice an envelope.

To my dear baby girl.

The day i laid my eyes on you was the day ive been happier my entire life, i could not fathom my life without you.

But as time pass by, problems arose with me and dad, honey.
I thought i married the person i loved and who loved me back.

I realised he was having another affair with a woman of higher standards and her name is vanessa, her two daughters are your step-sisters.

He wasn't satisfied with me knowing i come from a poor family, i could only offer my kindess, gratitude and role as a mother to a beautiful baby named rose.

My love, if its the last thing i do in my life, its only to keep you happy and safe.
Honey, there is a passport ready for you to paris, along with a penthouse, a car and a bank account that is filled up for you ever since you were born. Go to james as soon as you read this letter.

I already knew my death is planned by your father and vanessa, i couldn't get away because he threatened to kill you if i flee away.

my only regret is not being by your side to feed you, to hug you, to shower you with kisses, to wake you up every morning and annoy you with lots of little kisses and hugs.

My babygirl, i have and will always love you, im always by your side, just like i am now. So run my love, go to paris and never come back. Live a happy life i never had.

Tears gushes through me, I burst out crying, mom never had a happy life, she never had a life she dreamt. "Why am I alive then mom!!!!, why didnt you take me with you!!!", my voice echoes in the halls. "I love you mom", i whisper, looking at the letter that is now half drenched with warm tears continously racing down my cheeks. Numerous thoughts mixing up inside me but all of if comes down to one.

No mom, I will not leave you like this, I will not flee away while watching whats mine being taken away from me, I will be stronger mom, i promise.
