I killed the monsters that were trying to kill me. Not very well, though, as I usually come away unscathed. Not this time.

I lifted up my shirt to reveal the bloody gash stretching across my abdomen. I would go to the hospital, but I kind of got injured in the middle of a post-bombing scene. The injury might get infected, if it hadn't already.

Quests normally go out in trios. A quest leader, and two accomplices. Hopefully Ozias is smart enough to bring one of the camp medics with him. I have tried many unsuccessful attempts to staunch the blood flow but the monsters claws must've been magic or some σκατα.

Desperate for help, I grab my bag and begin to write a letter.

Forget the most recent monster attacks ending my life, bleeding gash infections will get to me first!

I quickly fashion one of my signature origami envelopes and fold the note into a small square. I put the note in the envelope, threw it into the air, and watched it get whisked away into a non-existent breeze.

The blue sky above shimmered purple with the threat of night. But, something is wrong. There's a small aviating figure in the air that's too small to be a bird. Then, it fell into my hands. It's a replica of my envelopes, and I feel a letter similar to the ones that I send.

Alexandria,

Help is on the way. I'm leading the quest to save you from your... predicament.

Don't worry and don't die.

-Ozias.

I'll try not to, I think to myself.but the letter has given me newfound hope. I can survive this. I will survive this. I can survive until Ozias gets here. I can survive. I will survive.

Hopefully.
