Another letter. Chiron handed me the small post-it sized letter, patted my back and told me to go back to bed. I don't want to. I want a quest. I want a quest to go save Alexandria.
"Ozias, go back to bed." Chiron says.
I don't move.
"I- I-," I stammer for words.
"What is it?"
"Sir, I want a quest," I say. "You see her words. She needs help, reinforcements. She says she'll be dead in less than twenty-four hours without help. I need to help her. I need a quest."
"Ozias, you don't know what she's up against. Alexandria's very vague in her letters. How about we wait until the next one?"
"No, sir," I say. "She needs help now, the next letter is not here now. I can help her now. I need a quest team. Now, sir."
Chiron sighs. "Very well. An announcement will be made. Meanwhile, as we wait for volunteers, visit Miss Dare."
"Thank you, sir."
I stand, with the letter in my hand, and I walk out the door. As promised, I hear the PA system announcement. "Volunteers needed for a quest if you are interested in a quest, please report to the Big House immediately. Repeat, if you are interested in a quest, please report to the Big House immediately."
I walk forward to the Oracle's cave.
