Chapter 20 Conquer

Rapunzel's POV:

Pitch had a Daughter?

For a moment, he seamed so humanly. Has he truly lost that side of him? Has this lust for power made him completely forget his own Daughter's legacy? Who he even was?

I have to get back. I have to find a way to warn the others. He's dangerous now more than ever. All he sees now is his daughter's death and his revenge. I can't let him succeed. He has to be stopped!

Jack's POV;

Rapunzel has been out for hours. For a moment, she was with us. Talking to us, then just as she returned, she left us again. Pitch will pay for this. She doesn't deserve this.

"Everyone!" Tooth called out from the hallway. Reluctantly, I left Rapunzel's side to join everyone else.

"What is it?" North asked first. Baby Tooth was flying next to Tooth's head, looking completely panicked and freaked. Tooth looked just as stressed as Baby did.

"Baby Tooth just told me that Pitch has just been spotted near us!" Tooth explained in a panic. The room fell silent.

"Where?" Bunny then asked. Baby Tooth started to squeak frantically, buzzing around everyone's faces. 

"On the Main Islands near Mexico," She said for Baby.

"Then what are we waiting for?" I snapped, slamming my staff on the floor. "Let's take him down and end this!"

"As much as I like your enthusiasm, we don't have a plan," North interjected.

"Then we'll come up with something on the way, we cant let him get away with this!"

"Jack," Statara scolded softly.

"No, I'm with Jack, this ends tonight," Bunny started. "We'll go there and scout out the area and we'll come up with a plan as we go. We can't just sit around anymore. We are Guardians!" 

I gave Bunny a nod in approval, nodding back, we looked at everyone else.

Statara sighed in frustration.

"I like this plan," North started. "I can sit by either, this ends tonight or we fail the whole world for not trying."

"Fine, but what about Rapunzel?" Statara asked suddenly, I paused. Rapunzel, how could I let her slip my mind?

"You and Tooth can stay by her side and guard her while we go and scout. I'll come back and get you with my tunnels once we got our surroundings," Bunny suggested. We all nodded.

As we got ready for departure, I went back to Rapunzel is Statara's room. Nothing changed. Her hands were still resting at her side with her chest slowly rising and falling with each breath as she slept. At least she's alive. 

Sitting by her side, I gripped her now slightly warmer hand in my cold one and just started at her smooth, beautiful face.

"I promise, Punzie," I whispered, brushing a stray blonde hair off of her face. "We will take down Pitch and release you from this curse, you have my word," then I pressed my lips to her forehead before letting her hand go and headed to the door.

"Ja---" a breath said behind me. In a start, I turned around and looked at Rapunzel who hasn't moved.

"Punzie?"

Nothing.

Maybe I just imagined it.

"Jack---" she said again, but her eyes were still shut. Was she talking in her sleep?

"Punzie! Yes, I'm here," my heart pounded at I was right back at her side, her hand in mine. I waited for what felt like forever just to see if I would be able to hear her voice again.

"Darkness. . . . . . Pitch. . . don't. . ." she tired to say. What does that mean? Is Pitch with her right now? Is she telling him to not do something? What is he doing to her?!

I could feel the rage fill up inside of me. She's just a human! What is he doing to her?!

"What? What about Pitch?!" I said, my voice sounded panicked as I waited for her to say something.

"Kill. . . . . Pitch. . . don't . . . " then nothing.

Is she trying to tell me to kill Pitch and don't, ... don't what? Show mercy, don't what? Feeling to enraged, I squeezed her hand one more time and bolted out of the room with the others. We left the island in North's snow globe and headed to the islands where Pitch was allegedly at. I will have him pay for hurting Rapunzel. He will regret messing with her.

Back in the empty room. Rapunzel laid still as she reflected on her dreams. "Jack. . . . " she whispered to know one in her sleep. Unaware that the room was now empty with only her inside. "Don't kill Pitch. . . . . . . Kill the darkness. . . " 

With that, her voice fell silent and she was lost back into her nightmare of darkness.

New update, and so quick too. SHOCKER, i know. sorry about the long updates. Work has been taking up most of my time and its getting me exhausted by the time i get home.
