Chapter 7: Apology

Dwight sat at the fire letting his thoughts take hold of his mind. He couldn't wrap his brain around David. He was so confusing. One second he will be calling him weak the next taking an axe to the head for him. All he does here is be selfless. He gets himself killed to give his team better odds, but why? The only thing he could do is talk to him but whenever they come back from a trial he heads straight to the woods not talking to anyone. What hurts Dwight the most is he wont even look in Dwight's direction. Paying him no attention until a killer is attacking Dwight.

David just got back from a trial he walked up to the fire and looked into Dwight's direction. Dwight looked at him as David spun on his heel and head into the dark forest. Dwight watched as David dissapeared behind some trees. 'Fuck it I'm sick of this.' Dwight shuffled to his feet and made his way to where he last saw David walking.

Dwight after walking for what seemed like forever finally found David climbing up a set of rocks. He decided to linger behind for a bit until he settled down somewhere. When David was over the rocks Dwight began climbing them himself. As Dwight reached the top he noticed David taking his shirt off near the edge of a pond he has never seen before. It still haunts my dreams but I know they arent actually gone." Dwight started biting at his thumb nail. "I don't like seeing you constantly take the punishment those psychos give us. You dying messes me up a bit more." He finished looking to David. David seems a bit more relaxed. He uncrossed his arms and gave Dwight a small smile.

"Don't worry about me Dwight. I promise to let up a bit but if it feels right I'm going to do what my gut says. I wont stop protecting my friends even if I can be an ass sometimes." David spoke in a comforting tone giving Dwight a wink. Dwight's face burned again his anxiety getting the best of him. David gave a small chuckle.

"Uh okay David so are we good?" Dwight asked extending a hand.

"Of course mate just let me finish with the pond I'll be back at the fire in a bit." David started as he turned back to the pond before stopping and turning back to the anxious man. "Unless of course ya wanted to join me." David spoke in a sexy voice giving Dwight a wink.

Dwight's face turned completely beet red and his heart raced. David let out a chuckle at his reaction.
