Dwight was very put off by his dream with David. It was true. David said it himself he was weak. He didn't have a backbone. Some how his dream affected him more than what David said to him during their fight. His own subconscious was tearing him apart. And he could do nothing because he was the weakest of them all.
"Hey Dwight!" David shouted from the fire when Dwight emerged from his tent. Dwight looked his way but couldn't look long because seeing him reminded him of his dream and what he said before. Dwight quickly shuffled away. David's guilt broadens as he watched him walk into the forest.

Dwight walked through the forest trying to think. He knows David probably didn't mean all that he said, he also knew he couldn't be upset over a dream. 'I'm such a fucking coward.' He kept walking letting himself wallow in his anxiety and self doubt.
He soon came up to a clearing. Small glowing orange flowers littered across the field. He slowly walked into the field. The flowers smelt sweet their pollen tickling his nose. He let out a sigh. 'Nobody will see me here.' Dwight thought dropping to the ground hunching into himself. Tears began to flow.
'You are garbage'
'You are a spineless weakling'
'You are a disgusting pervert'Tears came hard. He gave a small groan as he let his nose run. Dwight had broken down. His anxiety finally getting the better of him. He began to shake. His thoughts filling his head and echoing about. He put his hands to his face. He let out a pained cry.
'You are usless'
'They hate you and you know it'
'You are a complete freak'"Freak." He muttered to himself. 'I am a fucking freak' he thought his body shaking by his own thoughts.
"I fucking hate myself." He whispered to himself. He whipped his eyes to look up. The big round fake moon hanging over him. A hand was gently placed on his shoulder.
"Dwight." David spoke in a shaken voice. Dwight looked up to see the scrapper shaking. His eyes full of tears. David dropped to his knees and wrapped himself around the anxious man. Dwight nuzzled into his chest letting his tears spill out. David sat there comforting Dwight until he managed to bring his crying to a soft sniffle.
"Dwight what's wrong?" David asked whipping his eyes as he let go of the shaken man. Dwight wiped his eyes and sniffled trying to think of what to say.
"I'm a spineless weakling just as you said David. I'm completely useless." Dwight whispered. David's body stiffened. Dwight kept his eyes on the ground.
"Dwight I- I'm so-sorry." David stumbled over his words. Tears fell down his face. "I didn't mean the things I said before." He said his voice shaking.
"I wish I was strong like you." Dwight cried putting his head between his knees. David looked at Dwight looking for the right words to say.
"Love I'm not strong. I cant help everyone. The reason I throw myself into danger is because I'd rather die then be in here. Everytime I throw myself at the killer I'm hoping that I dont wake up in this good damn forest." David managed to get out tears ripping at his throat. Dwight looked up to David.
"David please don't say that. I can't watch you hurt too. I care to deeply for you to watch you try to throw yourself away. I feel the same way. I just want to leave this place in any way I can. I hate myself so much David. I'm not worth your protection." Dwight spoke quietly looking at the scrapper trying to read his thoughts.
"Dwight I had no idea. I flirt with you here in there but you never reciprocated it. I started to belive you hated me. I would especially after what I said to you. You are worth more than my protection." David cried as he spoke. He hated watching Dwight like this. He wish he could just help him.
"I get so nervous I tense up at even the slightest touch. I don't hate you David I'm just awkward. I'm a dork while you are so much more." Dwight laughed drying his tears. A small smile plastured his face.
"Well jesus Dwight just show me something. I'm glad to see that cute smile again. I hated watching you like this." He dried his eyes and smiled back getting closer to Dwight.
"I hate feeling like this. I wish you talked to me sooner. We could have probably avoid all this crying." Dwight laughed. David chuckled and they both looked at each other. The moonlight highlighting each others face.
"I wish I had, I guess I was just afraid of rejection in all honesty." David muttered finally not losing eye contact with Dwight.
David leaned in closer and grabbed the back of Dwight's head. David came close connecting their lips. Dwight froze in shock but slowly melted into the kiss. The orange flowers gleamed as they gently met lips. David was a lot more experienced but he didn't mind. Dwight felt like he was floating his heart beating heavy. Dwight put a hand of David's thigh and made circular motions up and down. David gripped Dwight's head tighter pulling him deeper into his kiss. They finally broke apart taking deep breaths. They stayed in their position holding eachother in the orange glow.
"Damn Fairfield I thought that would never happen." David teased caressing Dwight's face.
"I can't believe it either. That was my first kiss, with a guy at least." Dwight admitted his face growing dark shades of red. David smiled.
"I'm glad I could steal it from you. I wish we could stay here but I think we should head back. I told Claudette I was gonna talk to you and she sounded pretty nervous. She might have everyone searching for us if were gone to long" David laughed out. Dwight gave a quiet chuckle. They stared into each others eyes before David leaned in for another kiss. Their lips locked again as they savored their moment alone among the radiating flowers.
"Now come on we have a new survivor to officially meet." David said standing up. He extended out a hand to Dwight and pulled him up and into him. They kissed once more before walking twords the campfire.
