When I stepped into the door, all that was racing through my mind was hope. Hope that I wasn't roomed with anybody I knew. Hope that it would be a kind girl, and not some weird boy. That's all I care about right now.

"Hey, I'm coming in" I politely say before turning the corner, in case anyone was naked. The college dorm is small, and I physically cannot stand the stench.

"Fuck, whatever" a deep voice mumbles. A muscular boy with shaggy brown hair greets me with a smirk.

"I'm Riley, I guess we're rooming together." I explain.

"Damn I am not complaining" he whispers as he eyes me up and down. Oh shit, hows Brice gonna feel about this? I shouldn't worry about this now, I need to get my things sorted first.

"Excuse me?" I snap, to make sure he knows I mean business.

"You Heard me" he smiles with his tongue sticking out of his mouth, I swear this kid has no chill. I give him a weird look and move past him.

"Fucking chill. I was just messing, need any help?" He asks me, it sounds more like an apology than a kind gesture. I know his type, and being kind out of goodwill definitely does not make the cut.

"Yeah, you can come with me back to my car to get the rest of my stuff" I command.

"Ok, uhh I'm Tyler by the way. You shouldn't see much of me anyways because I'm on the football team, so I'll be working out most of the time." He explains. Oh god, another one of those cocky 'I'm jacked' moment. If I had zero respect for him, I'd laugh but I keep it to myself. I don't want to make a bad first impression. I pull my keys from my pocket to unlock my car, I'm so embarrassed when he pulls out the one bag I'm not comfortable with anyone seeing.

"Tampons?" He questions. My face goes red and I nod slowly. I'm kind of an adult girl, it would be kind of concerning if I didn't get my period. He shrugs and doesn't pay much attention to it, so he picks up the rest of my bags and starts to wander off back to the room.

"I can take a few of those if you'd like" I say. He struggles to hold them all and he shakes his head.

"Nah, it's good. I'm strong enough to take them." He says, his face expression stern and then he bursts out laughing. I giggle a little too, for his amusement. He's. Pretty cool guy.

"What year are you going into?" I ask, changing the subject.

"Year 3 out of 5, what about you?" He asks.

"One out of four" I say.

"You Sound embarrassed." He points out. No shit Sherlock. I shrug at him, and he just looks away.

"Anyways, what are you studying?" He asks me.

"English, I'm going to become a teacher. It sounds pathetic doesn't it?" I answer.

"No not at all. I'm taking law right now, so I can be a lawyer. They make a ton of money and I plan on getting money, then retirement fast." He says. I nod at him. We get back to the dorm and I open it. He cuts me off when I try to enter, and I brush the annoyed feeling off.

"That's all your stuff right?" He asks me.

"Nope, I still need to buy bedding, so I'm just sleeping in my car tonight, a dresser and a desk but it's fine." I respond.

"Riley, don't sleep in your fucking car, that's dumb. I can give you an extra set of sheets until you have some of your own." He tells me.

"Oh- ok." I stutter.

"And if you need anything else, just ask okay?" He says.

"Tyler, that's really nice of you. You really don't have to"

"Well, I'm gonna. There is no point in making an enemy." He tells me as he plops down on his bed. I just stand there in awe, this guy is literally perfect.

"I could use a friends. I don't know anyone here yet" I say.

"Actually, you could come eat lunch with me and my friends. We are just going to the McDonald's down the road." He offer. I feel bad for intruding.

"Sure, why not." I smile On the outside, when I just want to cry. I really don't get why he's being like this, it's really suspicious. Why is he being so nice to me? I don't even know him.
