Riley's POV:
"Oh shit. That's bad. Like really bad." I say, still taking it all in.
"Brice knows Anders and Avery lied, but he just pretends like he doesn't." Tyler shrugs.
"I had no idea he was going through that. I wish he would have talked to me or something." I tell him.
"What Anders did sucks, but he didn't know. Your brother over reacted." He tells me. His opinion is wrong. Brice has every right to be pissed, and Anders should have told the truth.
"What's on your mind?" Tyler asks me softly. He looks into my eyes, and his pupils are dilating. A lot. He licks his lips and eyes me up and down. Oh shit.
"Nothing" I say to break the silence. Don't wanna get on anybody's bad side.
"There is obviously something racing through your mind, so just tell me." He insists. I can't really hear through the music, and my pounding headache.
"Nothing. I'm still processing everything." I reply.
"Okay. Fine." He sarcastically rolls his eyes. We dance a little more in awkward silence. I look over at Anna and Jack, and she glances at me. She sees my uncomfort and pushes her own boyfriend away and runs towards me.
"Hey guys, mind if I cut in?" She asks Tyler, and he moves aside. She grabs my hand and we start dancing.
"What's wrong Ri?" She asks me.
"Tyler told me something about my brother and Anders and I'm not okay with it." I confess.
"I probably sound dumb, but who is your brother again? Anders has a tendency to get on everyone's bad side." She asks me.
"Brice Saige" I reply as her eyes widen. She curses under her breath. Before bringing her eyes back to mine.
"You might have to talk to him about it. Tyler shouldn't have said anything. It's not any of our places to say anything further." She tells me.
"Let's go find him and sort this out." She adds as she grips my wrist and leads me off to the backyard. She stops and looks around in the dark intensely before leading me to the side of the house. She shoves me into a guy.
"Talk it out, and be honest. Both of you." She whispers very loudly.
"What's up Riley?" Brice asks. A light from a litte ways away turns on, and I can barley see his face.
"Well I started hanging out with this new group of people and....well." I stop myself. Don't make it look/seem weird.
"Spit it out Riley. Your scaring me. Are you in trouble?" He questions.
"Yes. I mean no. I'm not in trouble. I just want to know what happened with Anders. And that girl you seemed to love so much." I ask him. He rolls his eyes, as if he gets the same question every day.
"I do not have to explain myself to you. I'm over that shit anyways. Whatever anyone told you is enough information." He shrugs, but I can see his fists trembling.
"Everything I heard was from Tyler. And he's close with Anders so I want it from you" I tell him. He looks down, obviously not wanting to get into it.
"I just want to hear it from you. Because I plan on being friends with them, and that can't be a problem." I add.
"Riley, you can't be friends with that asshole. Tyler is fine I guess but he sleeps around a lot so be careful. I don't give a fuck about anyone else, just watch out for those two." He warns me. Yeah whatever.
