Chapter5: hallucinations
——————————————————————————
I turned my alarm clock off and got up, picked out my clothes, and went into the bathroom to get ready. I took a quick shower, brushed my teeth and hair. I took out my medicine bottles and stared at them for a moment, before grabbing the empty glass I keep next to the sink. I filled it up with water and took the medication while taking a drink of water simultaneously. I walked outside and checked the mail, there were two things in there, a letter and the news. I walked back out to the kitchen, and started making some tea. I heard Michael coming downstairs and saw him appear in the doorway. "Good morning." I said while stirring the tea. "Good morning father, why didn't you wake me up?." Michael asked. "I didn't wake you up because you were up late worrying about me I assume." Michael nodded and walked over to the letter, picking it up and reading the name who sent it. "Isn't Linda your mum?" Michael asked. I set my tea down and walked over to him, grabbing the letter from his hands.

From: Linda Thompson Kennington Park Rd, London, UK

That's what the front of the envelope read. I opened it and started reading it.

Dear William,
I hope you're doing well, I heard that you started your own business. Afton Robotics Inc, wasn't it? I should've guessed you wouldn't give up on your dreams of making those robots, eh? I don't think you're company will last to long, people aren't interested in seeing some fruity colored robots designed for children, kids are interested in that weird movie about a kid named luke who's father is on a thing called the dark side, I think it's called star battles or something, I haven't watched it. But I do wish you the best of luck for your company, who knows, maybe I'm wrong. You'll just have to prove it.
Love, mum.

I crumpled up the paper and threw it away. "What did it say father?" Michael asked curiously. I snorted, "She thinks my company won't do well. Yet she still wants me to believe that she loves, and cares for me?" I said while grabbing my keys. "I think your company will do well, wasn't there a birthday party with six kids, just two days ago?" Michael questioned. "Yes, and I too believe that it will do well." I opened the front door and just as I was about to walk out Michael stopped me, "Father, did you take your medicine?" "Yes Michael, I did..." Michael looked at me skeptically. "Look if you don't believe me, go and see yourself." I shut the door before Michael could say anything else. I got in my car and drove to Fredbear's. I was the first one there since I got up early, and Vincent was probably dealing with Sammy and Dave. While I was here alone, I went to the back room and found the animatronics sitting and standing in different positions. I walked over to Golden Freddy and looked down at him. The animatronic looked back at me with white pupils, and blacked out eyes. I closed my eyes and shook my head, thinking it was a hallucination. When I opened my eyes the animatronic was standing up. I backed up only to bump into Bonnie, who was moaning in pain. I pushed past him running for the exit, but Foxy was blocking the door. "Where do ye think you're going?" He said in a gruff pirate accent. I couldn't escape, I was trapped. I felt one of the animatronics grab me, so I looked over and saw it was Freddy, "I say we make him pay...?" He said in a low booming voice. I closed my eyes, preparing for the worst, when suddenly he let go. I felt someone pulling me out of the room and shaking me. I blinked a couple of times and saw it was Vincent, with Sammy and Dave standing near him. "William, are you ok, what happened?" Vincent asked urgently. I didn't say anything, I was trying to figure out if I was hallucinating or not. "William Afton!" Vincent shouted. "Uh, oh, sorry..." I chuckled a bit. "William what happened?" "I... I think... I was, hallucinating the animatronics attacking me." I replied. "Do you feel alright? Do you want to take the day off?" Vincent asked. "No, no I'm ok..." I reassured Vincent. Vincent looked at me, then nodded and walked to his office. I sat at one of the tables for a moment until I heard Dave whisper, "Uh... what's the deal with freaky over there?" I looked at him, "What was that?" I asked. "I said... what's the deal with you, you always act strange." I smiled, "shouldn't you be in school right now?" "Nope, I got a dentist appointment, and Sammy's got a doctors. Now are you going to answer my question?" "Allright, fair enough... let's see... where do I begin... I have a couple of mental disorders that can cause me to hallucinate things, taking the medicine can sometimes make it worse instead of helping. And I lack empathy, it's hard for me to feel what others feel." "So you're crazy? Shouldn't you be in one of those insane asylums?" I smiled a chuckled, "it's not that serious." I guess Vincent heard Dave's remark because when he came walking out from the back room he said, "David Ryan Miller! That's very impolite! Apologize immediately!" Vincent scolded. "It's alright Vincent... I don't mind him asking questions." "No, he shouldn't be asking, and saying such things as your crazy!" I could tell Vincent was trying to be serious, but after what I made him do, I'm sure he thinks I'm crazy, and I'm sure you think I'm crazy.
