Chapter 10.

          After waving at the boys, I turned around and looked down at my drink.

          "So I assume that is the guy you were talking about." Said Jacob, popping out of nowhere. I raised my eyebrows at the nosy boy. "Super hearing." He said and pointed at his ears while he had a smirk on his face.

          "I didn't know that's what they call being nosy nowadays." I smirked at the cute bartender.

          "We like to sugarcoat things around here." Said Jacob. "Good luck." Jacob whispered an winked at me.

          I wanted to ask him why he wished me good luck but at the same time, I could feel someone's presence behind me. I didn't want to turn around because I had already known who it was. I could make out the scent of that perfume anyway.

          "Hey!" He said. "This seat taken?" He asked and pointed at the empty seat next to me.

          "Nope. It's all yours." I said without even looking at him.

          Beck sat down on the seat next to me.

          "Can I get you anything to drink? Maybe the same as her?" Jacob asked Beck. Beck took a look inside of my glass and realized what I was drinking. He's one of the very rare and decent type of white boys so I could easily tell that he was disgusted by the smell of bourbon.

          "I'll just have a glass of water." He said.

          "Water. Coming right up." Jacob said before walking away.

          "Soo.. can we talk about what happened earlier today?" Beck asked. He turned his entire body to face him.

          "What happened was, I told you stuff that I have never told anyone before and I probably shouldn't have." I said and took a sip of bourbon.

          Just then, Jacob arrived with Beck's water. "Thanks." Beck said as Jacob placed the water in front of Beck. Beck waited for Jacob to leave before speaking up again. "Why? You don't trust me?" Asked Beck.

          How can he even think that after I basically told him my darkest secrets. "I didn't say that Beck. Of course I trust you. If I didn't then I wouldn't have told you those stuff." I explained.

          "Then what are you saying?" He asked.

          For someone so smart, he can certainly be dumb at times. "I'm just saying that certain things that happened, probably shouldn't have." I picked up the glass of bourbon and looked at it before putting it down again when I realized that I hadn't made eye contact or even looked at Beck since he sat down next to me.

          I knew exactly why I couldn't face him. I'm the reason why he cheated on Jade.

          "So what you're saying is what I think, that our kiss was a mistake." Said Beck. My eyes widened at his words. How could he think of our kiss as some kind of mistake. He's basically admitting that he regrets it. "We got caught up in a moment. That's all it was." He added.

          I turned to face Beck with tears in my eyes. "I didn't say that either, Beck. I don't think of our kiss as a mistake and I certainly do not regret it." I said.

          Beck's face was filled with regret as he watched me get up from barstool. I picked up the glass of bourbon and drank the remainder of it in one go. I then threw enough money on the bar counter to pay for my drink and Alexis' drink. I placed my bag on my shoulder and grabbed my phone from the counter.

          I was about to walk away but Beck grabbed my hand, preventing me from moving any further. "Bella, stop! I didn't mean it like that." Beck said. You could hear the remorse in his voice.

          "I know exactly what you meant now please just let me go." I begged.

          "Please, don't!" Said Beck. This time he looked like he wanted to cry.

          "Beck, please! I can't do this right now." I said as a tear escaped my eye.

          Beck saw the tear and immediately let go of my hand. I wiped away the tear from my cheek and rushed over to Alexis as fast as I could. As soon as Alexis saw the look of my face, she knew something was wrong. She grabbed her bag and her phone and said good bye to Andre. We then left the bar.
