I woke up after a long night. I had barely slept at all, thinking about him.
My head was fully in the clouds, until a nauseating thought came to my mind. Today we had a Latin exam from which our teacher would base our half term grades on. I had completely forgotten to revise and as if it wasn't enough I totally sucked at Latin, especially Latin tests. I was screwed.
As mum drove me to school I picked up my Latin text book and tried to memorise some grammar notes I had taken earlier on. I got off the car two minutes before the bell rang and rushed to class.
What a coincidence, Latin was my first subject! I entered the room and saw that there was a spare seat in the middle of Maggie and John. I sat down and got my pencil case out of my school bag.
The teacher handed out all the exam sheets and announced that we had one hour to answer all the questions we could in that time.
Before saying we could start he walked over to my desk and told me that since I had missed a lot of this term's work I could have fifteen minutes extra to work on my paper.
The clock's arms seemed to move much faster than usual. I had 30 minutes left and I was about half way through the booklet.
I distinctly bent my head toward John's and then Maggie's papers to see how they were doing. They were both finished and checking back. I stopped thinking about theirs and decided to pay more attention on mine.
...
Once my time was over everybody handed their papers in and then started chatting. I had just managed to answer all the questions, luckily. Everybody was complaining on how the test was too easy, I just remained quiet.
I saw someone make their way toward me. I lifted my head up, to my misfortune it was the nasty Isabella I had met a couple of days ago in Biology.
"How did it go? I bet it must have went really badly for you, but the teacher felt sorry and so gave you extra marks. Oh, and by the way stupid girl, stay away from my boyfriend!" She said viscously. I hated her so much!
The only thing which scared me was the fact that she might have been right.
Later I spoke about it to Emily, she said there was nothing to worry about. The teacher knows that he is not allowed to do that.
Em's phrases of wisdom cheered me up!

Later on that day, after school, I got a text from my mum saying I could go home by bus with Emily, if I wanted to.So I took out all my homework from my locker and slammed it into my bag. I ran to the front of school, hoping to see Em waiting for her bus. Luckily, I did.
We both got onto the bus, scanned our Oyster cards and went up the stairs to the second floor.
After a while of chatting I noticed someone familiar sitting a couple of rows on front of us. It was J!
I was so happy to see him, I still hadn't thanked him for his help yesterday in class. I nudged Em and I went to sit next to J. She then followed me there and sat just across.
Me and J started chatting, which gave me time to thank him for the previous day. Although, only later I realized, that we were kind of leaving Em out. She had always been by my side, she didn't deserve this from me.
Suddenly, she stood up and started walking down the stairs.
"This is my stop. See you tomorrow guys. Have fun! Text you later Cath!" She said, looking down and not turning around to wave back.
"Bye Em!" I said. I shouted it, just in case she wouldn't hear me.
Me and J kept laughing, chatting and making jokes. After another couple of stops we both got off, at the same stop.
This made me realise that he lived very close to me.By the time we said good bye I had found out something truly awful about him...
He had a girlfriend.
And guess what...?!
It was THAT girl, ...
Isabella!
