Before I Die

Chapter 9

I woke up that morning with one priority.
I had to humiliate Isabella in front of J.

I quickly scribbled this as number one on my to do before I die list.

That morning once I got to school, Isabella wasn't there. I went straight to my desk and layed my maths books on it.

About half way through the lesson Isabella barged in and walked over to my desk. She 'hipped' me with her hip and bum.

I fell on the floor and banged my head... Hard.

The teacher rushed over and told her off. I couldn't really understand what they were saying because my head hurt too much.

When I finally re-opened my eyes I saw J's face staring at mine. The close up of his face was gorgeous. So much more beautiful than it was from the distance, as you could see all the tiny details of his face. He was... What can I say?

Perfect.

For the next 3 days Isabella didn't turn up to school; it was probably because she had been suspended. I didn't miss her, nor want her to come back into my, bad enough, life.

Jack hadn't talked to me at all during her absence. It might have been that he was mad at me for causing such a scene and getting his girlfriend into trouble.

I hope not.

The day Isabella came back to school he hanged out the whole day with her and didn't never even said hi to me.

These days it would have been a miracle if we made eye contact.

That night I lied on my bed staring at the ceiling, think about J.

Why was he so mad with me?
I hadn't done anything to Isabella...
She had done basically everything.

At one point I saw my computer turn on. It always does that automatically when someone send me a message. It's very annoying! Especially when it happens when I'm not in the house because that means that no one is there to turn it off again, which means I waste so much battery, for no reason!

Surprisingly, it was J who had wrote me a message.

Hey Cath! I'm sorry I didn't really talk to you these days. Trust me, I'm not mad at you, but at Isabella. I can't believe she treats you like that for no reason. She must be jealous that you sit next to me in most classes.

Don't worry, it's fine. The important thing is that we are still friends :)

Ok good. Since it's Saturday tomorrow, do you want to hang out? Maybe we can go to the cinema?

So do you want to meet tomorrow outside HeartLake Cinema at 3:00pm? We can decide what movie to watch then.

With that I turned my laptop off and went downstairs to watch TV.
