"Sir, someone is here to meet you. She doesn't want to say her name but says she's an old friend of yours." Taehyung's receptionist said on the phone.
Taehyung furrowed his brows and adjusted the security camera view on his computer to see who it was. She had her face covered and was looking at the receptionist. He had a slightest idea about who she was after seeing her silhouette.
"Send her in." Taehyung said and gritted his teeth in annoyance.
The receptionist muttered a low 'yes sir' and asked the woman to go to his office, as Taehyung saw from the monitor.
He waited for his door to be open in some minutes.
As the door opened, a female figure in a hoodie and jeans, face covered by mask and a cap, entered. She closed the door behind her.
She removed her mask and cap and started taking deep breaths. "It's such a suffocating outfit!" She said playfully to Taehyung, but his expressions didn't seem to waver.
"What are you doing here, Seongi?" He asked coldly.
She shrugged her shoulders. "I thought you would want to see me after that news broke out." She said.
Taehyung immediately knew that she was talking about the news of her meeting with some anonymous person, who was apparently him. She didn't know how anxious he became when he heard this from Sira and the fact that Sira knew that he somehow knew Seongi.
Taehyung sighed. "You let that out on purpose, didn't you?" He stood up and looked at Seongi. "I am still sorry for what I did, and I feel guilty. But you want to destroy my life because of such a small thing? You feel right doing that?"
Seongi flinched a little on his words, which sounded very emotional. But she didn't let her posture shake on the basis of his words. "Don't you think that you can escape Kim Taehyung. You did a mistake and you try to play the victim? You shouldn't have slept with me or any other girls your brother approached, just for some cheap revenge. After doing all that, you think you can live in peace?" She said, challenging his words.
He cowered at her choice of sentences. She was right, absolutely right. He was the guilty one at the first place, no one else. Not even his brother was at fault. It was his emotions that made him do so many things, that were wrong.
If only he could understand that, his brother was not wrong as he thought him to be and his decisions were not right as he thought them to be, a little earlier.
"Then punish me, Seongi. Don't do anything to Sira. She changed me and was one of the reasons that now I am not making wrong decisions like before. I will take the blame of what I did before." He said, eyes low and head down, only thing that was roaming in his mind was Sira's face for some reasons.
She has seen him with Seongi before, when he was his old self before, trying to manipulate another girl that was with Jimin. And Sira still doesn't know his old self, which he was glad of.
"You remember that you have to do what I say, for keeping her happy?" Seongi said, her face full of determination. She won't let that guilt-filled face of Taehyung to get her believe that he has changed.
She went ahead and took a seat in front of Taehyung's table.
Taehyung nodded sadly. At this point he didn't know what she would ask for. It could be anything related to money basically, his property, money, sponsorship in a huge amount. She probably would like to see him begging on roads with his father's company in her pocket. But that would be a little too much to ask when she was more rich than him.
"What do you want?"
"Your break up." She said.
He jolted at her statement and he immediately looked at her to confirm that she was serious while saying this statement.
"What?" Taehyung asked.
Seongi shrugged. "I said I want your break up with Sira." She said again.
"No." Taehyung darkly said and his fist hit the table, reverberating a hard noise. "Don't you want money or something?"
"What will I do with your money, I don't care for that. It's simple, I went through a break up because of you and now you will go through one because of me. I want you to feel what I felt at that time." She said, her voice serious as ever as she looked at the confused and dazed face of Taehyung who was sure that he wouldn't agree with her at any cost.
"Y'know what? I was cooperating with you because I felt bad for you since the reason of your break up with Jimin, was me. But if you ask for this, then, no. You can go and tell her that what I used to be like, before I met her, because if you won't then I will someday. But I will not leave her, you understand?" Taehyung shouted at her at the top of his lungs, feeling raged and emotional at the moment.
She stood up and looked at him, her expressions calm. It seemed like she was expecting this reaction from him. She put her hand in her bag and took out an envelope. She kept it in front of him and he looked at it confusedly.
"Read it." She said.
Taehyung tilted his head with confusion as he took the envelope and tore it to see a paper inside it. He unfolded the paper as he eyed Seongi suspiciously and sternly.
He read the paper with concentration and his eyes widen. He looked at Seongi incredulously as if asking from his eyes about the truth that this paper held.
"Its original and from the university. But because of you, she won't even get that now. I will make sure of it." She said as she snatched the paper from Taehyung's hands.
It was Sira's acceptance letter sent by the Seoul institute of Fashion. From her dream college. For what she has been doing hard work for years.
"Her dream won't be completed and I will even make sure that she doesn't get admission in any other fashion institute too, mark my words. On top of this, I will send her the pictures I sent to you. Even though she listens to your side of story and forgives you, she will never be happy. Her dream and her man, will collapse at once. All because of you. Kim Taehyung, only you." She said, her words manipulative.
Taehyung shivered at her tone. He knew how much Sira wanted to go to the college and its her dream. He would not like to ruin her dream, just because he wanted to stay with her.
Taehyung's eyes again looked at the ground, mind clogged with unnecessary emotions and shoulders felt the weight of his own mistakes that has come back to give him a lesson.
Seongi's eyes pressured him to say anything and make a decision about choosing Sira's happiness or his own.
"Please don't make me do this." Taehyung pleaded, voice almost cracking as he looked at Seongi.
He felt dizzy and vulnerable, at the same time. He couldn't make a decision, he didn't want to leave Sira but also didn't want to be the reason of her not being able to achieve her dream. It felt like, no matter what he will do, he will get hurt along with her.
Seongi's eyes softened for a while. But she closed them and tried to think what she went through because of Taehyung and he totally deserved it now. She opened her eyes and they were again stern and cold, gazing at Taehyung.
"It's your decision, your mistake, your fault, but if you want Sira to suffer because of you too, then it's fine with me." She said.
She put the acceptance letter in her bag and turned around to exit the office cabin.
"S-Stop. I will." He said and Seongi stopped in her tracks and moved around.
"But don't you it's a little too much to do what you are doing? You can easily move on, what will get from my break up?" He asked, as he couldn't help but think that the punishment he was getting was way too harsh than it should have been.
"You will feel pain, by seeing her in pain because of you and seeing her happy without you." She said and left the cabin while putting her mask and cap on her.
